Good Product, Sensible Price
I had decided on this phone as my mother is hard of hearing, and I am pleased to report that she is delighted with it. Thanks to the big buttons, dialling is easy and the sound clarity is good enough for even the most aurally impaired. The vendor that sold it even rang me up on a Sunday to establish that I was buying this for someone with a hearing problem, and having established that I was, proceeded to give me a further 20 per cent discount. It's easy to programme with all the numbers you're likely to need in a hurry; the incoming ringtone is up to 30db with the addition of batteries (not supplied), and the front of the machine lights up as a further warning of an incoming call. It's a really good idea all round.

At last, a telephone for the elderly that actually works!
There are many 'big button' telephones around that claim to be good for the elderly, and the few that I've tried (and many more that I've read up about) have always come up short. But this phone actually does the job, thanks to two small features that are barely even documented but are - I think - crucial.First, the two indents in the phone's base for the handset are nice and deep. That means that you practically push the handset *into* the base to hang up a call, and it has a satisfying tactile 'clunk' to tell that it's back in place. To an elderly person with poor eyesight and/or poor spatial awareness, this is hugely important as it means no more accidentally leaving the phone off the hook.Secondly, it has a volume boost facility that can be *permanently* engaged. Lots of phones have volume boost, but you usually have to press the boost button *after* the handset has been picked up. To an elderly person who gets confused about buttons and their functions, that's an added confusion that means that the boost often won't get used. But with this Geemarc phone, there's a little switch on the back that allows the boost facility to be permanently engaged so that it gets used every time. There are other added benefits too, like no need for batteries or a mains power supply - the boost facility works off the phone line voltage, and it really does work well. (The phone can take batteries, but that's just to increase the ringer volume which I found totally unnecessary as the ringer is perfectly loud enough already.)In summary, a robust phone with excellent audio quality that really meets the needs of an elderly person.

Amplifying Clarity and Convenience for the Hearing Impaired 🔊👂
The Geemarc CL100 Big Button Corded Telephone is a thoughtfully designed solution for individuals with low to medium hearing loss or visual impairments. This landline phone packs a wealth of features that cater to the specific needs of seniors and those with disabilities, ensuring a seamless and comfortable communication experience. 💯One of the standout aspects is its hearing aid compatibility. By simply switching your hearing aids to the "T" setting, you can directly transmit the sound to your ears, eliminating the need for additional amplification. 🔋👍The extra-loud 80dB ringer and visual indicator ensure that you never miss an important call, even in noisy environments. This volume is comparable to a vacuum cleaner or a power lawn mower, making it virtually impossible to overlook. 🔔🚨The volume boost control allows you to increase the receiver volume up to 30dB during calls, ensuring crystal-clear audio clarity. Once you've found your preferred setting, it remains in place, making it incredibly user-friendly, especially for those who may not be tech-savvy. 🔊💬The large, widely spaced buttons with 14mm high digits are a blessing for those with visual impairments, allowing for effortless dialing. The 12 one-touch memories further simplify the process, enabling you to call loved ones or emergency services with a single press. 📲💗While the lack of mains power might be a concern for some, the CL100 operates solely on the telephone line, eliminating the need for additional power cables and reducing potential tripping hazards. 🔌⚠️Overall, the Geemarc CL100 Big Button Corded Telephone is a remarkable product that prioritizes accessibility, convenience, and safety for its users. With its thoughtful design and practical features, it empowers those with hearing or visual impairments to maintain seamless communication without compromising on clarity or ease of use. 👏😊

Good Value For The Price & Robust :-)
Got this phone for an elderly cantankerous relative with poor hearing who refuses to wear a hearing aid. It was to replace the previous CL 100 which had lasted really well. It's nice and loud and easy to use big butons with speed dials so the whole family can easily be contacted (she loves this feature ;-() and that it iluminates when there is an incoming call. The previous phone had lasted really well having being knocked on to the carpeted floor more times that I thought was possible. I have been informed that it has managed to fly quite well on several occasions and still survived a crash landing after colliding with a wall.I am considering buying several for stock, due to the increasing number of inane telesales calls and the customer service centres based in some far away land with staff who have incomprehensable accents or wish to put you in a queue at position 42 ! (I just know it wont be long before its first test flight :-)

Easy and functional... Does the job well far better than A modern tiny and modern one
My wife thinks it liiks like an old persons phone BUT hey I am 72 in June and I needed the Volume control to make the earpiece louder. It will also increase your voice if you are softly spoken. The big buttons ate SO EASY to dial FAST (You cant miss). The only disapointing thing is No actual Loudspeaker for others in the family to hear BUT the loudness of the earpiece is good enough and its great for the price paid. I like the flashing light as it rings as well as a loud (OR SOFT) ringer. It has a memory for a few numbers and a draw out tray with nunbers written down on it (Old school yes but there for the aged that prefer the old ways and after all WHO know all the numbers in their head. I love this phone

Not worth the money
I am disappointed in this phone and went back to an old large button phone I have had in the past and it works much better than this one.
