Altogether finely reproduced and updated in a handsome binding. Distinguished editing with notes added to help the reader go through this classic treatise. Better one Stephen Charnock than a million babbling insurrectionists waving Jesus is lord signs as they violently storm the capital. Perhaps it is not all their fault if they cannot read beyond a fourth-grade level. For others with a devotion and conscience toward God and Country, this is the best of the best discourses that has stood the tests of time. And the new edition is by far the very best. By all means, don't hesitate. Great book!

I am so impressed with the making of these books and the look of elegance they have. The printing is awesome. The attributes easily understood. Thorough in their deliverance of meaning. Definitely an inspiration to the knowledge of God. Insightful, as it provides a relaxed, comfortable reading for each day. Always a joy to get back to, as it cannot be digested all at once. Although I wish it could.

This is an incredible set to have In any theological library. I have a masters of Divinity and these works have been of great help to me in theological writing and study for sermons. If someone is just getting into puritain works although these volumes are fairly long they have been lightly updated with more modern language at times making them easier to read.

This two volume set is well crafted and the typeset is easier on the eyes than other copies I have seen of this work where the typeface tends to be very tiny. This is unabridged and a must have for anyone who wants to actually study this work.

Highly recommend to anyone who wants to get an even more exalted view of God. And compared with the John Owen works that I've read (which I love, after close study), much easier to read
