HIKARI First Bites Semi-Floating Fry Food for Pets, 0.35-Ounce

I've used this to feed my guppy and platy fry over the years and with a new set of fry I turned to it again. The perfect size for tiny mouths. They wouldnt take crushed up flakes but this, they will and you can keep an eye on the fry who dont rush to eat. Highly recommend it 👌

I recently bred some Guppy fish and have a tank full of 'miniature' babies!This product is working out to be one of the best products I tried to feed these babies as the product 'floats' on the surface and doesn't sink to the bottom of the tank, allowing the babies ti investigate the food on the surface of the water.The product package was small so I thought that it would be insufficient but when scattering a small amount on the surface of the water I realised that the product really will last for the duration of the growth of the babies until they can eat 'proper' aquatic food.The package of the product is seal-able, so you can make sure it stays fresh and can be long lasting if you choose to breed more fish.Happy to recommend.

Tiny CPD fry are able to eat it. Much smaller granules than i expected which is a good thing, seems to linger mid water column for a nice time so gives them a chance to get a good feast on.

Purchased for my Galaxy Rasbora fry, very fine powder so have to be very careful on how much you use, I simply stick a cocktail stick in the powder then dip and stir in the tank... fry come right to it when I put it in, so must like it... Only downside is had to repackage (as read this is one of the big downsides), as the powder can leak and the reseal zipper didn't work properly due to being full with the fine powder food, from the supplier storage and transit. Good for smaller fry, but would say livebearer fry should be fed on a larger size feed, as this is minute.

Any Hikari fish foods I have used so far, including this, are definitely really liked by the fish. No spitting out or half-hearted feeding!I have only one complaint - a hard-to-remove big sticker on the back of the packet, covering up the instructions and nutrition information, etc; REALLY annoying - and unnecessary. To whomever it may concern: please don't do that!😬
