Solid hard wearing performer for heavy traffic. duty usage.
Used several of these sensors on point of sale (POS) systems at work for a few years and bought this one to replace a defective unit. We used them on a very busy bar where they often got smeared with various drinks with very little problems.It just required turning off the POS unit, inserting the new one and turning back on. The new unit is recognized immediately.Performance wise, there is good recognition of prints and the weight of the unit and its skid resistant base makes it very stable to position.While not the cheapest units, if you want a rugged dependable performer, then it's worth considering.

Ultra Scam!
The fingerprint reader has a nice feel and decent build quality, however trying to use it is another story. So Windows 10/Windows Hello doesn't work with this out the box, which is fine, you just need to download the driver software for it to recognise & work with the fingerprint reader. Except the only issue is, the download link to the driver software specified on the instructions does not work - it just takes you to another website letting you know that the company that made this product has been taken over by another company. Only when you go to look for the drivers to this Fingerprint Reader on their website, you have to e-mail them to send you the drivers, and when you do e-mail them, they ask you to pay £15 TO EMAIL THE DRIVERS TO YOU TO USE YOUR PRODUCT!!!! £15!!!! MAJOR SCAM! SCANDALOUS! VERY SCANDALOUS! In all my years of managing computers/purchasing additional accessories, I have absolutely never come across anything as scandalous and outrageous. Ever! Nothing even comes close.Don't ever buy a Crossmatch/HID product unless you just want to look at it, far too expensive for a product you have to pay even more for to even use.

No Software supplied
I bought this to improve security on my computer, but unfortunately no drivers or software is supplied. After searching for a few hours I gave up as could not get it to work and have sent it back. I have bought a cheaper one that works great. For the price you would have thought it was a premium product that would be easy to install
