Magnetic Mini Aerial DTA180

this is so small that when it arrived my heart sank a bit and i felt very unsure it would be any good but I was totally wrong. this replaced another internal aerial that was just rubbish and got hardly any channels and cut in and out all the time. i literally just plugged this in to the telly and didn’t even have to do any of the usual wandering around with my arm in the air to get a signal, it just worked immediately with no wiggling or repositioning and i have all the channels and a week after plugging in no breaking up or missing channels. An impressive bit of kit!

The product arrived very quickly and was well packaged. Easy to unpack and set up. Very neat looking and very unobtrusive. Connected to portable digital TV in its current location (kitchen) away from walls and tried tuning the TV. No services found. Re-located the aerial and TV to the conservatory next to the window (where I was planning to use it to save me running a new aerial cable). Re-tuned the TV. Found about 70 services (compared to well over 100 with external aerial). Hope? Alas no! None of the services tuned were watchable as the pictures and sound were both completely broken up. Tried raising the aerial to over head height but still no better. May work well for others but I guess you need to be in a good strong signal area to get this sort of aerial to work. A pity. I have had to return it for refund using Amazon's really helpful and no quibble returns arrangements.

Brilliant little gadget, works a treat. The ariel is 14cm from base to top and has a magnetic base. My tv is about 4 years old, a digital JVC, 32''. Tv was hooked up to Sky box. The Sky dish stopped working about 2 months ago (no connection) 8 months after I stopped my Sky subscription. I ordered this little ariel for under £4 (no postage charged). Plugged it into the tv and nothing happened. Realised I had to re-tune the tv, I followed the instructions in the tv manuel and typed in preset pin number 0000 then saved the channels (ok button on remote control). When I selected a channel, I moved the ariel around for few minutes until reception was perfect. As it is magnetic, I attached the ariel to the tv's wall bracket, to enhance its range and for it to be unobtrusive. I have great picture and sound for a fraction of the cost of calling someone to sort it out. Am very pleased and wished someone had explained the processes to me. Hope this helps you to see how easy it can be. Item arrived next day. Minor point for Amazon In my opinion, the item was over-packaged, a very small item in a box with packing paper roughly 10 times its size.

Had a couple of small tv's that were in loft conversion rooms with no aerial or Sky connections. Was clearing out my loft and found an old portable dvd player that als had dvt with it's own aerial. It worked really well so looked for similar indoor aerial for the other one and found this one. The reviews were really positive and it was such a low price to at least try it out. It works perfectly well and picks up loads of the usual channel with a really good picture. Just got my son back to uni in different, private accommodation and found he has an aerial port in his bedroom but no cable so I'll just order another one and have it sent directly to him. Great for the price.

I recently moved and wanted to cut back the cost of many things. My house needs a new aerial, properly done but the cost is a little high at this time. I bought this to put me on for the time being so I would at least have Freeview. Actually astounded that I get a clearer and less scratchy picture with this aerial than the professionally installed one in the last house. Honestly for the price of it and the size it does that good a job I bought three more for the house. Works perfect on every TV. So rather than paying £120-£150 for a new aerial install, I spent £15 for these and get the HD channels too. Only negative is when storm Ophelia hit there was signal disruption but I would expect that with any aerial. Seriously 5 stars

Dosnt work reception.is very weak

So we bought a 22" LCD for the kitchen. As it's got a built-in DVD player, I didn't worry too much about the aerial - I figured that I'd chuck a fiver at it and see what happened. Well, this aerial turned up, and it was tiny. It's about the size of a ballpoint pen. I didn't expect much, but I was amazed. It stuck to the wall by the magnetic base, as there's some metal edging in there. When I told the TV to scan for channels, it picked up all of the ones I was expecting and a bunch more. I found it was quite sensitive as to where you put it, but once you find a good spot, it's fine. I was so pleased with it that I bought three more - one for a friend, one for the TV in the bedroom, and one for the living room as it seems better than the big aerial in the attic. As before, in the bedroom all I had to do was get it out, and find the right position, and soon I was completely satisfied. I recommend it.

It doesn't get a signal anywhere in my room.

Ho acquistato l’antenna interna August DTA180 e sono molto soddisfatto. La qualità del segnale è eccellente sia per DVB-T che DVB-T2, con immagini nitide e senza interferenze. La base magnetica permette di posizionarla facilmente su qualsiasi superficie metallica, e l’antenna è compatta e portatile. Supporta anche VHF, UHF, FM e DAB, quindi è versatile per TV e radio. Consigliata a chi cerca un’antenna interna efficace e semplice da installare!

My experience with this product has been positive. For me it's a powerful little antenna that picks up all the free-to-air channels in the outer suburbs of Melbourne, including HD, when positioned in the right spot. It's not perfect like a professionally installed outdoor aerial, but it packs a big punch for such an inexpensive and compact little indoor antenna. I managed to pick up all free-to-air channels after playing around with the positioning and attaching it to a metal frame (magnetically), and while Channels 9 and 10 can sometimes suffer from an intermittent poor signal (maybe 20% of the time), several other channels, e.g. SBS HD and 7 HD are consistently 99% perfect. Overall I can't complain for what it is. I would give it an overall score of 95 out of 100 after two months of use. I highly recommend it in situations where you need a quick fix for picking up free-to-air TV where it's otherwise not convenient or too costly to have a professional outdoor antenna installed. This nice little product is the next best thing.

Utmärkt fungerande antenn till min TV!

L'antenne ne m'a pas permis de capter les chaînes TNT de la Rtbf à Waterloo dans une villa au rez-de-chaussée. Il m'a fallu monter à l'étage et placer l'antenne à l'extérieur de la fenêtre pour recevoir les chaînes.

Habe mir die Antenne für meinen Fernseher mit integriertem DVB-T Tuner gekauft um auch die Programme die hier über DVB ausgestrahlt werden zu Empfangen. Viel Geld wollte ich eigentlich nicht ausgeben und nach längerer Recherche habe ich zu diesem Produkt gegriffen. Ich wohne in einer relativ großen Stadt im dicht verbauten Gebiet und dachte zuerst ich brauche unbedingt eine Antenne mit Verstärker, diese sind aber preislich in einem anderen Rahmen als diese Antenne. Ich hab dann einfach die Antenne bestellt und getestet. Funktioniert bei mir einwandfrei und habe sehr guten Empfang. In Gegenden mit vielen Hügeln und Schluchten würde ich daher eher zu einer Antenne mit Verstärker tendieren, auch wenn man schon weiß dass der Fernsehempfang in der Gegend beeinträchtigt ist, in meinem Fall gab es hier allerdings überhaupt keine Probleme!
