Transcend 1TB 2.5 inch USB 3.0 Military-Grade Shock Resistance Portable Hard Drive

Came a day earlier than expected, tried it, works like a charm, not a problem whatsoever and fit all my needs as a nice big juicy memory storage, came with a warranty to put good faith in this peice of tech to ensure it doesnt break, i'm well satisfied with it. Before the external, all I had to use was an mp4 player to cargo data from one computer to another or just store them to keep upon my person, the Transcend 2tb made a hell of a difference.. Everything is good about it, including the speed of data that you can pull to and from it, everything is sound. Considering of how resiliant it's meant to be to shock, i dare not even keep it in a place where it would drop easily to test it out. Apologies for the previous and original review, no fault of the guys that sent this product to me, all in all, good stuff has made backuping, storing and cargo'ing data a hell of alot easier.

I had pondered on buying one of these for a couple of days and so when i saw it on offer at a reduced price i ordered it and it has proved to be one of the best buys i have made, it is compact and lightweight with a nice non slip rubberised cover that also doubles as a shock protector, this is in addition to the plastic shockcase and the drive suspension system that makes this a very durable drive it was up and running as soon as Windows installed the driver, i then formatted it to NTFS and it was ready to use, the supplied Transcend formatting tool took only seconds to complete and i was then left with 937 GB of free space to play with i created a 50GB encrypted container which again was very straight forward,then in order to try out the backup utility i made a folder on the drive and backed up my D:/ to it, this took no time at all and i now have a full backup of all my stored software and files etc this is a very good drive that comes with a suite of free utilities to backup, encrypt ,recover files etc, it takes up very little space and is totally quiet in operation, i cannot recommend this drive highly enough and i would certainly buy it again.

Extremely well made portable external hard drive. Easy to use and a whopping 1TB storage space. My dropbox got too full and I decided it would make more sense to invest in an external hard drive rather than upgrade dropbox. I did a lot of research first and my IT nerd brother recommended Transcend as one of the best brands when it comes to data storage, very reliable brand. One of the most important features for me is the fact it's shockproof. Though I try to handle it as carefully as possible it's always vulnerable when being transported in a laptop case so being shockproof is a big plus. It's also dead easy to use, just plug and play and your good to go. It looks good too. I've been using it for a few months now without any problems, great piece of kit!

Obviously it has a lot of storage; It easily stores reams of data from dvd and music and writing, as well as having enough room to backup my Macbook Pro. It is tough and sturdy as described in the name, able to withstand punishment, and has plenty of room left to use even after a recent clearout meant taking two or three days to upload information onto it. However, using it on a Mac was initially confusing and frustrating. The hard drive is not configured to Mac's and so needs to be wiped by the Mac itself (I used it as a backup for the Mac, meaning the Mac reformatted it) before it can be used as a storage unit. Worse was the fact that the instructions were very unhelpful on this. There was no mention of having to configure the drive or in fact that there would be any problem or issues with a Mac computer at all, which only delayed the process of backing up at an important time. I spent a good hour or two looking for instructions on this problem with no success. It was in the end a simple fix but lack of instructions was a massive frustration. This though is a pretty minor quibble; if I had used the backup system in the first place then there would have been no problems with the storage. As with any big terabyte drive it should still be used carefully in spite of it's boasts. But obviously having a terabyte backup drive which is protected against damage can be a huge deal. Big hard drives can be known to break with a simple drop to the floor, losing a lot of data as a result. Having something secure like that isn't just very comforting, it edges the drive ahead of competitors. It makes the data secure in itself. Hard drives will always have problems. Such a large amount of data is expensive and is easily lost even by well protected hard drives such as this, as various reviews below might testify. Still, that extra layer of protection is vital in situations where otherwise the hard drive might be damaged or the data destroyed; something which is vital to many companies. It gets a four out of ten for bring the storage space required, for being sturdy and for it's storage. It loses a point because it was niggly to install and get working in the first place, and had unhelpful instructions to exacerbate this problem. For someone new to a hard drive this was an unwelcome start, but it does what it says on the tin, which is more then forgivable.

I have always used Seagate external drives, however, they are currently one of the least reliable brands and have one of the highest rates of drive failure, and as a working pro photographer who needs to back up his work securely, I decided to switch to a different brand. I spent quite a while looking at reviews, and doing my homework, and this drive had rated highly. It is meant to be shock proof, although I have no intention of finding out how good that feature is, in one review on a tech website, the reviewer dropped the drive repeatedly until it gave up working! It took him seventeen drops to break the drive! So far, I'm pleased with the drive. It appears to be well made and very solid, it's far quicker than all of my Seagate drives, even those apparently equipped with USB 3.0. It seems good value for the price I paid, and depending on how reliable the Transcend proves to be, I will be buying more of them in future to back up my photographs on.

comme tous les produits transcend. Déjà en nfts, bien pratique. Et le boitier protégé donne confiance. Sous windows 10 par contre, il y a un peu de mal à le lire mais je suis persuadée à 99% que ça vient de mon ordi, qui n'est pas vieux pourtant .Bref ! produit très bien, je recommande

Acheté suite au crash d'un samsung sans prévenir... Le produit respire la qualité : le disque est entouré d'un membrane en caoutchouc qui confère non seulement une bonne protection mais en plus un touché pas désagréable. Comme tout disque en usb 3 les taux de trasferts sont très bons et il devient alors très difficile de repasser sur de l'usb 2

Recomiendo totalmente este disco duro porque tiene mucha capacidad, es resistente y lleva cifrado (que se puede descargar desde la web). El tamaño es adecuado y me gusta mucho la textura, el color y la velocidad de transferencia de los archivos. La entrega muy bien y funciona de maravilla. Hasta ahora no he tenido ningún problema y confió en esta marca.
