The Lion King 1 1/2

I think we watched this at LEAST 150 TIMES when it came out. It provides much needed stress relief at the time. Luckily, our daughter was in the "again" phase so it was an all-around win. It helps to have seen the original first, as there are subtleties you may miss. Nathan Lane voices Timone, no one could have done it better. Combined with Julie Kavner as his mother and Jerry Stiller as Uncle Max they provide the core of a wonderfully written priceless comedy. Pay attention to the score as well, classic music adds to the hilarity in the background. We still enjoy it once in a while. Fabulous on many levels. Don't miss it.

This is a fun movie. It does not compare to The Lion King only because it is not the same kind of movie. Where The Lion King is a drama, The Lion King 1 1/2 is a comedy. It is a bit crude here and there but it doesn’t descend deep into depravity like so many cartoons today. One of my disappointments was that it poked fun at The Lion King in various spots. It was funny, but some of the poking fun I would not have done. This film is worthwhile and appropriate for the whole family.

The sounds works inconsistently. The sound will always work for the coming attractions and then when the actual movie starts Sometimes there is no sound. It is extremely frustrating.Other than that, when it works, my kids love the movie. The Music is great and is a cute story, with no bad guys, which my kids love.

My kids, 4.5 and 2.5, LOVE this (the younger one only watches short, appropriate, snippets). They love Lion King, and as a result, love this movie. In fact, my son found a Hidden Mickey in the scene where Pumba and Timon go over the waterfall - impressive! Keep your eyes focused on the cliffs. This is a direct to DVD prequel for a reason, and its largely for kids...but I certainly enjoyed watching parts of it myself. Even as a 37-year old, some of the Pumba-Timon dialogue regarding flatulence was really quite clever, what can I say!! :) Well, it struck my funny bone, at least. And there are a variety of other very enjoyable and clever scenes. In sum: par excellence for the kiddie set, and probably quite enjoyable for anyone who liked Lion King.

This movie is super adorable! It’s a light hearted take on Lion King original movie, so if you’re looking for a “softer” version look no further. It’s also perfect for any Lion King fan out there, like my little one, who wants to see a slightly different version of events.

My only problem with this movie was I didn't know that Disney had just renamed it. They should have just left it as it was because they story is actually in the middle of the other two.

This is a very funny movie that is a great companion to The Lion King. The basic premise of the movie is taken from Timon and Pumbaa's point of view and it is hillarious! Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella provide hysterical dialogue and it kept me laughing out loud through the whole movie. The supporting voice actors do a great job as well. If you enjoyed The Lion King, then you will really enjoy this movie. The Lion King had a more serious tone, but The Lion King 1 1/2 doesn't, and that is what makes it a good movie. If you want to sit back and laugh by yourself or with your family, then by all means watch this movie. It makes a great addition to the Disney collection of classic movies. HIGHLY Recommended!

This product was not compatible on any UK DVD or laptop that we tried it on and just appeared with a blank screen. The only positive was that the seller refunded my money without any hassle or need to send DVD back.

My children enjoyed the Lion King 1 & 2 very much. I enjoyed the Lion king 3 more then them. They we're complaining about the stalled picture and too much talk and no action haha. Anyway great addition to our movie collection and hopefully they will enjoy it more when they are a bit older.

Great movie loved by all the family. My son loves the fact its mainly timone and pumba his favourites also great humour for adults.
