Great all around
I have curl type 2B/C, chin length hair. I love this for condition & co-washing. The scent is mild & pleasant, not obnoxious - I don't like heavily scented products, this is just right. I have sensitive skin, this hasn't caused any irritation of my scalp or face. It's moisturizing enough, although I still have problems with the frizzies and have to use a good styling product to deal with those. But it does leave my hair a very nice workable texture, it doesn't leave a tacky residue at all. I especially have liked it for co-washing: I've tried maybe 3 or 3 conditioning bars the last few years & this one gets to a nice creamy, spreadable texture that makes it really easy to work down into my scalp when I co-wash. It def works well for for regular conditioning at the ends too. And it seems to be very long lasting. I use it 3x/week, & I think I've been using it at least a month or two, it's holding up really well. I'd def buy it again

Love it
I have coily tight curls. I need to use products designed for ethnic hair. I have been trying to slowly replace all the products I use to eco-friendly versions, and because of my hair, I left the shampoo/conditioner and styling products for last. I saw this product and thought I would give it go, thinking it would not work. I was surprised to see that it did. It really moisturizes my very dry, curly, frizzy hair. Unbelievable. I truly didn't think it was possible. It does have a couple of things that are not great, but they definitely do not deter me from becoming a regular consumer. The whole bar thing. It's hard to get use to. I have thick hair. So I have to make sure that I thoroughly "rub" the bar in to get at all my hair. To do that, I have to section my hair off in "slices" with a hair pick, then rub the bar on that hair "slice" on the top and bottom, and continue this way until I get all of my head. I chopped off most of my hair, so it's ok now. But I can see how I can loose it if I have to do this with long hair. The scrubbing of the bar on my hair also leaves tangles of hairs on the bar. No biggie, just wash them off. But it's annoying because I have always shed tons of hair, so the amount on the bar, takes considerably longer to remove, and I end up washing off some of the bar as a result, lowering the life of my bar. Regardless, the fact that it actually works, and I now have an option for eco-friendly hair products, is thrilling. I'm happy, so 5 stars. A little inconvenience is ok.

Good, but could use improvement
As much as I liked using Ethique's shampoo and conditioner bars, I decided to use a different brand. These do smell great and left my hair soft but they disintegrate too quickly for the price. I get that they're natural but a bar that's $20 should last longer than a couple weeks. I do keep them away from water when not in use and I wash my hair everyday because my job makes me feel sweaty and gross so I don't like skipping a day or two of washing my hair. Also the color of the conditioner bar was a problem. There were blue flakes all over my shower and these get really messy to use when you get to the end of them.

Good intro to cowashing
I am very happy with this product. My hair is 2c curly/wavy and medium porosity based on how easy it is to wet, but not dry/rough/frizzy. Ie haven’t asked a pro yet. My hair is quite fine and easily weighed down by hair products in general. I am experimenting with how much of this cowash is enough to use at a time, and so far the answer is “less than you think.” Conditioner aspect feels light (which is what I want/need). Rinses out easily. Feels different than liquid shampoo/condition/cowash until you rinse, hence still learning how much to use. Bar is almost a cube and seems like it might last me a year of cowashing 3x a week. (Still only a few weeks in). Might skip shampoo conditioner bar combo when they’re used up and just alternate this with a weekly clarifying shampoo??? Still seeking right routine for me. But this product is likely the way to go for me for most days. Showers are about 50% faster because there’s one less rinsing session. Which is good because less water use, less hot water time to dry out skin (hard to give up hot showers!!), etc. Scent is very light/barely noticeable to me. But I’m not very sensitive to smell.

Good even for fine, not curly
I was very pleasantly surprised. I bought this mostly because it was a co-wash bar (seems rare) and I wanted a way to have a very fast, 2-product shower in emergencies, even if the results didn't look amazing. I figured it would probably weigh my hair down but it doesn't. It's actually now my favorite. I have very fine hair which is straight in places and maybe 2A or 2B in other places after hair loss, and frizzy. It actually makes it look more coherent. It's good as a co-wash and with shampoo, for me. I also have hair washing-resistant kids with straight and 2b hair who also benefit.

Love Ethique, just not this onr
I absolutely love the Ethique shampoo and conditioner bars. I took a gamble with this one because I don’t have curly hair, but I do have wavy hair. I can’t really say it enhanced my waves, but it did give my hair a very thick texture. It’s already pretty thick so that added texture just made it feel super tangled all the time. Smells good though. Giving it to a friend because I just couldn’t make it work.

Love love!
I love this conditioner! I love that I can use it on my roots between washes and it doesn't make my roots greasy. My curls have become noticeably lighter since I started using this conditioner bar. Plus, I love that it's better for the environment. I have Caucasian hair with a 2C/3A curl.

If I could give this 10 stars I would. It's the only product that stops my hair being frizzy, lasts for ages, smells nice, no plastic. I can use it in the shower and rinse out again, and then smooth my damp hair with a little bit of it and leave it on. This seems to work really well.

This shampoo bar produces a lovely lather. I have a sensitive scalp and it didn’t irritate at all, which is impressive. It also lasts a very long time, at least 100 washes of my shoulder length wavy hair. It left my hair clean, soft and wavy. Useful when traveling with hand baggage only, as it’s not a liquid. I’m happy to recommend.

This conditioner leaves my hair feeling fresh, moisturised and so, so soft. It spreads easily through my hair and rinses off well, leaving my curly hair bouncy.

I got this for a friend for wavy hair for her trip through South America as I know Ethique are good products from using them myself. Her review was ‘these are AMAZING! I’m going to get my partner to buy more to bring over in a couple weeks as they are perfect in the humidity & are great for my style hair’
