Very easy to set up and manage using the APP. Has worked faultlessly and is well made.Cat wasn't sure about it to start with, but has got used to it after a few days.Only criticism is that the app shows all their products on the 'front page' obviously a 'selling' tool' would be nice if they allowed you to delete them as it can appear confusing.Had purchased a cheaper feeder from a different manufacturer, but like all things, you have to spend a certain amount to get something that works.10/10, highly recommended.

This is a non technical review of my experience with the PETKIT FRESH ELEMENT SOLO. I'm not going to list the specs etc. but rather give my thoughts after using it for a few months now.Firstly after looking a various cat feeders, I decided to go with the Petkit automatic cat feeder given it offers notifications on my phone and I'm really glad I did. It gives piece of mind getting a notification after each feed or when food is low etc. If I didn't receive such notifications then I wouldn't know if it ever failed to dispense food. Without this feature, you would have to be checking the feeder very often to confirm it's still working. The notification feature alone make it worth the higher price over other feeders that doesn't offer this feature.The app does the job although after it's setup, I rarely have to use it. I also have the Petkit water fountain and I periodically check in on the app to review everything is working as expected and to check when desiccant and filter are due to be changed (the latter being for the water fountain). I also give my cat a packet of wet food daily in between dry food; sometimes my cat is a bit fussy with wet food and goes off it for a few days so on occasions, I go into the app and manually give an extra feeding of dry food instead (or press the button on the side of the feeder as I'm passing to dispense an extra meal).Initially and over a few days I had to determine the ideal quantity size for each feed. I feed my cat with dry food in the morning, lunch and supper time and offer a packet of wet food early evening. After working out the right balance, my cat is not hanging around where she's fed wanting more food and she soon eats all the food that's dispensed. When I started using it, I checked the portion size and tried to offer a similar amount to what I would have normally given but found I had to tweak it a bit. Also, given it's automatic, rather than feeding my cat twice a day as I previously did, I now feed her four times in total which seems to work well. My cat seems to be very content with this regime.As above, I've been using the cat feeder for a few months now and it's worked flawlessly. Note the desiccant needs to be replaced every 30 days and it's not particularly expensive however I purchased 3rd party food grade desiccant packets which work out more cost effective than the Petkit replacements.The food is air-tight sealed within the feeder and with the aforementioned desiccant it is fresher than when I didn't have this device. The feeder and the water fountain both contributes to ensuring my cat is being given fresh food and water at a set times. I would recommend this device without hesitation and if you don't opt for this specific model, I would urge you to ensure you get one with the smart notifications.

The product itself is great. Looks nice in my living room, holds lots of my dogs food, works as it should. The app is a bit weird and took a little playing around with, but I now have her food scheduled.One thing to note if you’re planning to buy this for a dog - it probably wouldn’t be good for a big dog. It dispenses max 0.5 cups (50g) at a time, and bigger kibble might get stuck. My dog used to eat 1 cup twice a day, but now she eats 0.5 cups 4 times a day.

I’ve had these cat feeders for 6 months now. I spent such a long time researching and I’m so pleased I chose this one. As you can see I have 3 cats, and they all come running when the feeder goes off. The set up was really easy and the app is very user friendly. I do find the measurements a bit strange (1/10 cup, 1/5 cup etc) so I would recommend weighing out the food when setting up how much to dispense. I use Hills VE dental food and it is about 1cm x 1cm and it dispenses perfectly, never had a problem with a jam.There’s only two things I wish I could change:1. The warning for low food only comes up when it is empty, so it would be good to have a sensor higher up so you have time to refill.2. On the app, I wish there was an option for an extra feed to be applied on all feeders, instead of having to do it individually.However, still very happy with my purchase and has made my life so much easier!

My feeder suddenly stopped working after a couple days.Got in touch with PETKIT who promptly sent over a replacement.It's genuinely a great bit of kit. The level of customisationson the app is fantastic.PETKIT followed up with me to ensure the new one works and I'm happy with it.I'm glad I bought the water fountain from them too.

The pet feeder seemed great at first. I can control the time and portion to dispense food from my smart phone, however the dispenser malfunctioned within a few months. I received a replacement because it has 1 year warranty, however the replacement dispenser also broke within a few months. Customer service won't do anything about it and only offered 20% off to buy another feeder. They must be having a laugh to think I will spend any money on Petkit again, I have lost faith in this brand after 2 feeders broke within a year. I would not waste your money and buy another brand.

Amazing device. Able to now automatically feed cat at regular intervals throughout the day by setting up feeding routine via App. Large storage keeps dry food fresh. Cat loves it. Highly recommend

It was easy to set up and dispense food in accordance with those instructions on my previous Android phone BUT when I switched to an iphone, I experienced problems not being able to see the feeding option of the App. Customer Service staff support at PetKit were amazing, offered several solutions and after great persistance on their part, I was able to sort the problem. They were determined to make me happy..I highly recommend both the feeder and the Customer Service Support I got..

I have the older style feeders and was disappointed they changed to the removable steel bowls after I got them. Thank goodness this is an option to upgrade. We also find our ceramic dishes fit nicely in the holder for between washing use.

Honestly amazing product. We fill the bucket once every 2 weeks and we setup different feeding times per day so the cat does not get used to the times she gets het feeding which too prevent lazyness. It took around 30minutes to setup the times and ive never had to change them since. (i really dont understand all the complaining in the reviews about this.... anyways)Cons: Only one person can be logged into the app so I cannot have my partner logged in as well. And I would like to see a better "empty bucket" detection since we only get the alert when there is litterally no more food left in the bucket and we have no idea how much grams of food was not dispensed in this time. Hense why we systematicly fill it every 2 weeks.
