5 of Dio's studio albums packaged together in a slim line slipcase. This will form part of an already existing and well received range. Featured albums are: Holy Diver, The Last In Line, Lock Up The Wolves, Dream Evil, Sacred Heart.

DREAM EVIL is the standout
DREAM EVIL is the most underrated album of the five CDs, and is the best example of 80s Power Metal, for example the song "Night People" yet was never released as a single that I'm aware. "I Could Have Been a Dreamer" is Dio's best all around composition, also from that same album, with every other track also excellent, and in the expected pentacle of 80s metal production sound quality. As for the other CDs included, they are also great, as expected. It's worth repeating that DREAM EVIL is the standout CD that's difficult to find solo. Though it's rarely mentioned, I think it's his best work, and very best production. In My Opinions.

Insane value and amazing sound.
If you're in North America like I am, you have pretty...lacking...options for Dio music distributed here. Dio's classic catalog is under Warner Music here, and the albums are still issued with the original masters and the original generic 80s Warner packaging. Not very thrilling for anyone who's a collector, I think. This 5-album package that you're looking at is actually a European release from Universal Music, who owns the Dio catalog outside of North America. To my knowledge, this set uses the 2012 Universal remasters (which they also used for their Dio deluxe editions), and those seem to be pretty well-received by fans. I quite like the sound of this set...I much prefer it to the original Warner CDs. But perhaps my favorite aspect of this set is the fact that each CD comes in its own replica LP sleeve, and the CDs are printed to replicate the center labels of the original European vinyl LPs. You don't get any booklets, liner notes, bonus tracks, or any other extras, but this is a value-priced set focused on giving you a bunch of albums in one small box.Warner did release their own equivalent to this in 2016 (A Decade of Dio), which also included the 1993 album Strange Highways, but that is currently out of print and I have not heard a single good thing about the remastering of that set. Most Dio fans seem to have flocked to this set as their means of getting Dio albums on CD from what I can tell, and I think that's for good reason. You just can't beat this for the price, and you can literally take this whole set with you anywhere because it's so compact. Don't hesitate to pick this up if you're a Dio fan (or know someone who is). You won't be disappointed!

CD's Are Not The 2016 Remasters, But Still Good For The Price!
9/4/23The Five Sleeve CD Dio Box-Set is a good price for some music.I gave this Box set Five stars because it's the original audio and it has that classic sound to it.Sadly some people in the comments sections claimed this boxset was the2016 Remastered version and folks those people are just FALSE!These five CDs are original audio, as I already have remastered versionsof each of these CDs and I assure you this box set sounds nothing like theRemastered versions of each of these CDS!If you want Remasters you will need to buy each CD individually!Overall the music for not being remastered sounds very old-school coolwithout all the enhancement like on the Remasters.I think you will still enjoy this five-CD box set andOver time you will get used to the un-mastered sound!

Excellent sounding package of Dio albums
Discs sound great and are a steal at the price. I have the Very Beast of Dio but it is nice to have the complete albums with the original running order. This is a no brainer if you like Dio and dont already have these individual albums. Get it while you can. CD's are on the endangered species list. Own the music instead of renting or paying per play. Highly recommended!

IF YOU LIKE DIO YOU WILL LOVE THIS COLLECTION
I remember all of these when they first came out. And they are all pretty good. It's a trip down memory lane. And it won't cost you much at all. Their is enough metal here to keep you thrashing for hours LOL.

Value for $$$
Getting all 5 original Dio albums in one package was impossible to pass up. I had Holy Diver and The Last In Line already, but I had never actually heard Sacred Heart, Dream Evil or Lock Up The Wolves. The discs come in replica lp cases, and these alone are quite quality as the artwork is crisp and the glossy finish really makes them pop. All the cds played just fine and there was a couple of times I found myself wondering why I'd never bother to hear SH, DE, and LUTW. The sound is excellent as these are the 2016 remasters, and the bottom end is a bit fuller. I paid approx US $20 for the package and couldn't be more pleased.

Great Way to Catch up on Your Dio Collection
I came to the Dio crew quite late in my life as a metalhead, and having a solid collection like this, for such a great price, was perfect. Rest in Peace, Dio. \nn/,

Awesome
As a set I expected to just get a box with the 5 CDs in it. To my surprise each CR has its own sleeve with the same artwork as the original albums, very nice. The music, of course, is great
