Easily Marred
Gorgeous color! It matches the color on my monitor perfectly. If the color hadn't been so brilliantly turquoise, I would have deducted a star from this item. This is nice, large wire. The only thing I don't love is the way even my nylon jaw pliers mar the surface. Most colored aluminum wire is only surface-coated, which I expected, but I guess I anticipated the color being a little more capable of withstanding wear. The troubles I had with it being so easy to mar makes me wonder how well it would stand up to being worn. Jewelry has to be tough if it's going to last - and "tough" is not a word I would use to describe this. It's thick and has a nice bend - no tools are necessary for some designs - but tight bends require tools...and I would think twice before using tools with this. (So I would deduct one star for the tools marring the wire, no matter how careful I was...but the gorgeous color made me want to add a star...so I would honestly rate this as a 4.5, but due to Amazon's choices, I decided to round up.)

Good wire, but not what I needed
For jewelry making and in terms of practicing wire-working, this is ok. If it is to be coiled or wrapped around a support system it will work but as a support mechanism it won't work. Aluminum by nature is soft, so it does not hold its shape. Also, it becomes brittle with working so it will break if bent and straightened several times.I bought it because several persons mentioned that they used it for jewelry but I don't think that's a good idea if you want to make lasting, wearable, quality jewelry. The wire itself is good quality and I will keep it for experimenting with sculpture crafting, etc.

Works good, not exactly color shown!
Fairly consistent color. To gauge. Can have an occasional ding, dent or imperfection in the coil.Warrning:Artistic Wire brand similar is 'yellow gold' or a gold you expect.Beadaholique brand 'gold' is orangish. It does NOT match Artistic Wire. Looks good with warm colors though, great with red and black.Beadaholique brand 'tangerine' is barely darker orange. Side by side very close. Just enough if you mix in a project you will see it.Beadaholique brand has a smaller squarish lavender purple hangtag. Artistic Wire has a narrow light yellowish greenish hangtag. So when looking at pictures of these two brands you will know if you see the ID hangtag which one you are looking at (the blacks do not match either, the finish looks different enough)I have rolled a lot of this for making very heavy 'Fyre Wyrm' chaine maille chains. Rolling and cutting my own large diameter links then knitting roughly 1 inch wide chains. It bends fairly well, is very lightweight (about 1/3 the weight of copper or other metals) and I actually work these without pliers-it also avoids nicking or marring the finish. There is an issue when cutting the links about being very careful about not letting the jeweler's saw blade bounce or skip as it will mar up the surface. For workability and yield, appearance, is I give five stars. Coil length is fairly consistent. The picture shown in description is a little yellower looking than the real coil shows in person. This is also a rather soft temper, if you're used to harder temper you could straighten and coil the wire a few times to work it up. IF you use pliers use nylon jaws or otherwise protect the jaws as the finish will nick up.[I have several mandrel wound coils on desk right now and the ice blue is showing more than a bit of coloration variation. The gold has a little but not near as noticeable] I attached picture showing Artistic Wire gold, This product Beadholique gold, Beadaholique tangerine and Beadaholique ice blue.

Beautiful craft wire
The color and finish of this wire is beautiful. I plan to use in a floral arrangement. It is easy to bend in free form with my hands.

a great product and very fast delivery...
hello, this 12 gauge wire is perfect for making designs and shapes. it is pliable enough to shape just about anything within reason. we made a bursting fountain streams wrapped in copper super mini lights. the lights were very flexible and easy to wind around the 12 gauge aluminum wire. the lights looked outstanding at night and during the day, the copper looked very nice. if there are some kinks in the shapes, it was very easy to reshape it with smooth tip needle nose pliers. a grooved tip on the pliers will mar the aluminum surface. 39 feet gives you plenty of wire to make anything you want. we had tons of it left over for other projects in the future. a great product and very fast delivery...

Packaged as wrong size
The wire itself is fine and is good quality BUT it is mislabeled as the wrong size. I even confirmed it with my wire gauge measuring tool. I ordered 12gauge wire but the wire actually measures as a 14 gauge. I will return and probably order a different brand because I’m guessing I’ll get the same problem if I order this brand again. This is a shame because I have ordered other Bead Smith products and have been pleased.

Fil d'alu parfait
J'aime le fil d'alu calibre 12 idéal pour les bagues, bracelets et autres. La couleur argent s'agence tres bien avec les autres couleurs pour faire des mix.
