The 1st easel arrived with the box torn up and a part broken so this is a replacement easel. It's heavy and fairly easy to assemble. The directions are just 1 sheet of vague photos, but it came together by matching predrilled screw holes. One reviewer said to make sure you put the locking wheels in front, good advice and so I did. Positioning the canvas is easy although I would have preferred the knobs not to stick out so much but that is just a personal quibble. Overall, I'm very happy with this easel and I think it will serve me well. It also takes up less room than my old H frame easel, which is a bonus since my painting space is not that big.

Had for 6 months now and love it. Best art investment I've ever made. I can roll this anywhere and paint. Easy assembly. Highly recommend!!!

Presentation means a lot. This easel was poorly presented, came with no instructions, and the video was not the same as the easel. I love the easel, but I had to hire help with the assembly. I would not have had to do that if clear instructions or an accurate, useful video had been provided. I hope the seller will take into consideration the benefit of making things easier for the buyer.

Being just under 5 feet tall, larger easels are very hard to adjust and they take up too much floor space in my small painting area. This easel is perfect. It is very stable for being narrow with a small base. The only complaint were the sparse assembly instructions and the quality of the screws provided. The screw for assembling the balance poles were so soft that the screw head just shredded when using the supplied screwdriver. I ended up bringing one to the hardware to find better quality screws that size. The only other feature that is substandard I’d the way the screws to hold the trays in place go right into the wood mast.

update 11/15/2024---- the l shaped bracket that holds the wheels to the easel has bent. it really should be U shaped. we repaired it but i think i'm going to have to replace it in the future. be aware that this is a flaw.---- first off, i have the exact same design of easel made by a different company. ( same basic style only with two front wheels instead of four wheels, and one knob per canvas holder) the reason i bought this one was that each of the canvas holders has duel tightening knobs. my original easel (by a different company) has canvas holders that slip constantly, no matter how tight i made the knob. i have to say this one stays rock steady, no slippage. i like that it has four wheels on it instead of just two at the front (when assembling, put the locking castors on the front of the easel) i added a 6x20x1/4 inch shelf to the canvas holder that i use the most (two screws hold it down find) as i found that a larger area was necessary to hold rags and brushes and small bowls of paints for ease when i'm working my first review included a link to an assembly video, however amazon won't allow that so they deleted my first review. you can search for H-frame easel assembly July 15 2023 update: i love this easel.... the double knobs under the canvas holder keep everything straight without any slippage at all. if you are in any doubt....don't be, get this easel......it's a small footprint for a smaller studio but it's a great easel. i paint 22x30 inch watercolors on 24x32 inch stretch boards without any problems at all, i also keep two lights clipped to the top canvas holder. this is a fabulous easel

Great easel for the price. Didn’t get instructions for assembly but it was fairly simple to put together and works as well as I thought it would

Initially, it seemed a little flimsy but reasonable enough for the price. Then, assembly was impossible since the poor quality tiny screws broke when they were being a screwed in. The holes did not line up exactly but it was not excessive torque put on the screws. They just broke and part of the screw stayed in the hole and the head of the screw came off. if you want a good quality frame easel you may just have to spend a little more money. I am grateful for Amazon’s very customer friendly refund policy.
