I bought this mortar and pestle for the specific purpose of grinding my cat's vitamin supplement tablets to a fine powder. It is absolutely perfect for the job, and I am very pleased with it. Cleans very easily with soap and water, and the color is so pleasing. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

Does a fine job pulverizing canine medications. The interior does not retain any pulverized or crushed product, allowing full medication to be served to our pet. Easy to clean.

This is much smaller that I realized. I haven’t used it yet, would have returned it but I waited too long. It may be sturdy but the pestle is only a little over 3” long & may be difficult for someone with large hands to hold on to. Both mortar (bowl) and pestle are decent thickness, just small.

I purchased this mortar and pestle because I pill cutter did not work for my situation. My dog would not eat the pieces of her monthly heart worm pill. This works very well for crushing the pill into powder. I thought of it because of my background in nursing. The price is reasonable, the color is cute. The size works very well for crushing one pill.
