I've been using a 24x36 mat for years, but often that is just way too big for projects. I am so glad I invested in this 12x18 self-healing cutting mat. It is perfect for smaller projects. It has every kind of measurement printed on the mat to help you get just the right angle. It's usable on both sides - one side light, one side dark. I tried some test cuts on it to see how it holds up, and it was good as new after. I'm looking forward to having this on hand for all the smaller projects I do.

Nothing warms my heart more than a super large cutting board. Especially in black! It works perfectly, I have had no issues using it and I use Xactos ALOT. I would order again!

This is an excellent 2-sided cutting mat with one side white and the other side black. Depending on the project you are working on, sometimes the white side is more convenient and sometimes its the black.I own several similar self-healing cutting mats and they all perform pretty much the same - allowing you to conveniently cut items against the mat which won't dull your blad.

This mat works well as a surface for cutting paper with an excacto knife or similar blade. Great for crafts and such. I like that there is a dark and light size, and lots of measures and guides. I think "self-healing" is a bit of an exaggeration, but the mat is holding up well.

This thing is about twice as thick as any normal cutting mat, which is a fantastic feature. I cut a lot of eva foam, and cardboard and having a stable mat on my workstation without needing double sided tape or weights is an absolute blessing.Having the grid lines broken down into 1/8th inch is also really nice, as most mats I've used generally stop at 1/4.My only complaint is it's double sided but both sides are the same. There is no grid for metric, and even though there's a ruler for centimeters, it does not match.

I use these mats for paper and fabric precision cutting. Quilting involves so many small pieces I ordered this to save wear on my larger mat. Unfortunately, as others have mentioned, it does not lay flat, one corner lifts up and won’t settle down.It seems made, thicker than my normal mats. The cuts I did use it for.. rotary and exactly knife, seemed to heal up fine, I will use for work surface and for cutting on the flat 3/4 of the mat!

This self-healing cutting mat has a functional grid with inches and centimeter measurements, as well as angle markings at designated degrees (15º, 30º, 45º, 60º, and 75º). It also has a non-slip surface which accommodates various types of paper textures. It is conveniently double-sided with two contrasting colors; black with light gray grid lines, and light gray with dark gray grid lines. My only issue is the curvature of the corners; it does not lie flat, however that may have been caused by shipping. I have the 12" x 18" mat, however I would recommend the larger-sized one.

I have a large size mat where I do most of my cutting. A great mat, but sometimes it's more convenient to do some small trimming at a different work area. This is a perfect size to move around to where ever I need it.It seems to be holding up well. (I try not to do deep cuts or use a utility knife on it. If you want to cut through a mat, use a utility knife on it, that will destroy a cutting mat in no time!)
