What’s the difference between the new version and old version?

They suck! That's the difference and I'm pissed! The seam on both sides comes open and the gel is exposed! They r thinner and don't hold much before busting! I'll post a picture when I get home

Is the product good quality?

Yes my daughter only used these found mostly at Target or Amazon not in All stores
