Our 2 year Golden Doodle has been suffering from extreme skin irritation for almost 1 year. The condition was so bad that the dog would literally pull out her fur and gnaw at her bare skin because the itching was unbearable. She was diagnosed with a severe allergy to dust mites and it was believed that this was the cause of the condition. Cortisone shots helped temporarily but lost effectiveness after the first treatment. Several other avenues were explored from diet changes, environment changes, various shampoos and skin treatments to various supplements. Nothing helped. The waiting time for seeing the dermatologist was several months out and her condition was steadily declining. Her skin was constantly hot and sweaty and her skin had a strong yeast smell. Rather than waiting we continued our approach of continuing to try different things in hopes of finding an effective treatment or at least something that would reduce the symptoms until she could be seen by the dermatologist. After doing extensive on-line research I came across Quercetin. I went to my local supermarket and selected this brand because it appeared to be the highest quality. The dog weighs 60 lbs and we began administering the 500mg tablets at a dose of 2 per day. By the end of the first day there was a slight but noticeable reduction in her scratching. On the second day she woke up very dehydrated and was obviously not feeling well. She would not drink and had to be fed water from a baby bottle. Whether this was a reaction to the Quercetin or something else was not clear. After getting rehydrated and by the end of the second day she was feeling much better. Her energy level was up and she was well enough to start playing with our other dog. By the third day she her skin tone had completely changed from red and inflamed to light brown and normal. Her scratching had subsided by 80-90 %. Her skin temperature and skin moisture level also returned to near-normal levels and the yeast smell of her skin had almost completely disappeared. It has been 5 days since beginning the Quercetin treatment and her condition is near normal and continues to improve. There does not appear to be any correlation between her skin condition and her diet (human food or dog food) or environment (inside vs. outside) or how often she is bathed. This product has obviously had a dramatic positive impact on her skin condition and all references that I found indicate that it is safe for humans and pets. This product has multiple ingredients so it is not completely clear which of the ingredients or whether the combination of the ingredients is the key factor in my dog's improved condition. Our plan is to continue to give her this medicine at a does of 2 pills per day for 1 month, reduce the dose to 1 pill per day for a period of several weeks and then reduce the dosage to zero and monitor whether her skin irritation returns. Update: we finally got into see the dog dermatologist and he immediately recommended bleach baths to kill the skin yeast. We have heard of such a thing as bleach baths but it made the most difference of any treatment so far. Apparently it is a common treatment for excema but is relatively hard to find information about it's use for dogs. Hopefully this review is helpful, especially to those who have dogs that are suffering from skin conditions.

Just a quality product and good value for the money, considering the high quality ingredients in it. We take it for the health benefits and so far it's effective.

In a dietitians and I use this as a two in one for virus killing. My only issue is that it’s a tablet, not my preferred form of nutrient distribution in the body and the amount isn’t enough to kill an infection BUT good for preventing them in advance. Price is good for an all in one
