Looked all over for a set of throwing hatchets and settled on these. At first they seemed to lightweight and that could be an issue sticking into the wood. Also a lot of the other products broke on impact and we wondered if that would happen here as well. After using these and getting the hang of throwing them we are having a blast and the weight seems to be just fine. We don't throw them as hard as we can, but it seems they take an impact well and none have cracked or broken yet. I would definitely recommend these for the price and quality.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Thought throwing axes would be something fun to do camping and picked these up for the price. The kids and adults loved them. Found a dead stump and could have chopped it in half with as many times they were thrown at it. Sharp and pointed enough to stick but dull enough to not worry about cuts.

Great axe. Holds together well and will take a beating, you should wrap your handles though. They get rolls and burrs if you accidentally land it on the handle pretty easily. They will make longer throws a painful experience if you use the slip method to throw. Wrapping them pretty much solved that issue. I would suggest something flat and tough like a couple layers of medical tape.

I love to throw sharp objects. I believe you already have the photo of my human targets I bought on here a while ago when I was being hunted. In case you don’t. I’ll include it up there. I bought these because the majority of the reviews were positive and they were all matching which would help with throwing consistency. They lasted one outing of throwing into a large log end cut. If you can throw them perfectly and hit the wood with either end of the axe head they are great. But if you miss the handles will snap. Two of the handles broke after only a couple throws. One of the handles broke and few off into the woods. I couldn’t find it. Actually glad no one was hurt. While they look cool they are pieces of junk and I wouldn’t waste your money.

Purchased for a birthday and now we have a great backyard activity. Nice balance, very easily thrown at distances of 25 yards.

Well, when i get a chance to try this out then I can let you know. They will be just fine though. A great deal if your looking for some tinder cutters for your fire pit.
