Does this screw on to the 35mm hose?

The OD (outside diameter) of the large end is just a smidge under 32 mm or exactly 2 1/4". No threads though; it's a friction grip.

Can this adapter be used with the miele c3 vacuum hose? i bought the vac003 but the miele hose doesnt fit
