Had looked for an accurate magnetic compass for a vehicle for awhile, and all of them came up short.Forget installing a magnetic compass for an auto (too much metal to be accurate).THIS compass is THE ONE -- at a very affordable price!CONS: Awful instructions in extremely tiny printPROS:Everything about it is great -- once you tough your way thru setup.--Bright, large display is easy to read--Ability to configure information YOU want on the display--Accuracy with time, speedometer, compass and altitude (able to calibrate). I really like this gadget and I have purchased three of them. I particularly like that it has its own display rather than having to put reflective film up on the windshield for other HUDs. At first the speed displayed was several miles per hour faster than the actual speed as displayed on the car’s speedometer. This is no problem as you can adjust the displayed speed to match that of the car’s speedometer. You do this when stopped, by pressing straight in, the little switch on the right side of the device, and then you press the switch forward or back towards you thereby adjusting it up or down by how many mph it’s off.

Setting up the display was kind of clumsy. It wasn't easy to get the wanted display items on the screen. Works great though once you get it set up.

This unit has been installed for about 3 days, now. It seems to have issues with accuracy. When I am stopped (even for a long duration) this unit fluctuates between 0 and 3 MPH. This is when completely stopped. This issue seems to follow suit no matter the speed. It seems to always be 'hunting' for the actual speed. I have used many aftermarket HUD units for a few years, now. This is the only one that seems confused. After many attempts to adjust the setting for MPH it remains inaccurate. It wanders in it's speed... sometimes slower than actual and other times faster than actual. Completely unreliable.

Decent price but there are two problems. The display is impossible to read in bright sunlight and the speedometer is GPS based so the displayed speed is merely an estimation. It can be off by as much as 8 MPH.

Update: Compass works well, need to get it out and moving. Don't judge it by moving it around in your living room.Five stars._________It just arrived, I got this for the altimeter and compass, don't really need another speedometer. Altimeter seems ok, compass points N no matter what way the box is orientated. I'm hoping once I get this driving around the compass will come to life. I'll reedit this once I know for sure.

So much good stuff with this unit. Suction power for mount is excellent ! It has the newer style double cup base, so when you install on windshield it stays there ! Unit takes maybe a minute to find satellites average around 12 to 15 satellites acquired 19 most I have gotten. Have checked accuracy against known good speedometers is right on the money ! The display is a backlit segmented display (not sure of proper name) all the different parts of display are visible and only the ones selected are backlit. I use speedometer, compass and # of satellites available. Has a clock but I never got it to set (I didn’t read instructions!) Unit has one button on top used to cycle threw all available display options. Unit has power cord (no power supply) has to be plugged into a usb power source. Display is ease to read with my 67 year old eyes with no glasses on. Last but not least unit is very affordable I paid $27 and change (had a coupon) so I highly recommend this unit !!!
