Fresh & Save Vacuum Starter Set, Glass, L, 8-pcs, La Mer

My absolute favourite storage system! This is a great starter kit as has different size bags, different glass and plastic boxes so I was covered for all my needs. These are fantastic for meal prep or if you are batch cooking as they keep food fresh much longer than other boxes. I also like to marinade meat in them. They stack very well and and the quality of them is superb. They are not on the cheap side, but well worth the money.

The box that arrived was quite large and in it was contained a heavy duty small plastic container and a glass container, suitable for the fridge. Alongside these was the pump/air extractor which looks quite small in comparison. I was a bit skeptical as to how well it would work, but the pump is much stronger than it appears and extracted the air from the plastic container in around 10 seconds. The items I have stored in there (Silica Gel) have shown no degradation once the air is removed. The glass container is similarly robust and again was easy to extract the air, taking a little longer because of the difference in volume. The pump is rechargeable and makes a good seal when extracting the air. The only small gripe I have with this solution is that the silicon valves can be easy to knock inadvertently, releasing air back into the container. It's not a huge issue, but just something to bear in mind. Once the air enters the container, the lid can easily be removed for access to whatever you're storing and allows easy cleaning.

Best vacum sealled containers on the market.

The set I purchased included the vacuum pump, reusable bags and containers. All working as expected. I have used the bags to hold chicken, and placed them in the freezer, and vegetables in the containers. Does appear to keep the food fresher for longer in the containers. Also convenient to save space by vacuum sealing the chicken, and reduces the ice that forms on them when frozen. There is also an app that you can optionally use to keep track of what you have stored and when (via a QR code on the container or bag), and it will estimate when the food should be used by.

The ZWILLING Vacuum Starter Sets, don’t really have any good options if your primary cooking for one. But particularly with the limited time deal there’s no better option. For me the larger size containers are to big for every day use, (I already have sealed containers for rice etc.) I have a vacuum sealer machine, that I use regularly, particularly for non food jobs, (I have a large bicycle saddle bag with various towels, gloves and tools I individually seal to keep clean and dry till needed.) Also particularly good to portion and seal dry herbs. Fresh & Save is more food oriented, the bags allow for stirring food in sous vide cooking, and the boxes are stackable. Overall less worktop space is needed to use this system. Were as for me using the vacuum sealer, is a bit more of a production. If this style of vacuum sealer set had been available when I bought my first machine, I think I’d have bought this, it’s more day to day useful.

We've tried so many "air tight" containers over the years and they all didn't last/didn't do what it was supposed to. So although the price of this in one hit was alot it's still less than what we've spent individually over the years. The containers are beautiful but also fantastic, easy to use and save food wastage. Definitely recommend and will be buying more

I used to use similar byt different brand containers before and this is why I decided to get these. I googled for best rated vacuum container producers on the market and Zwilling was on the top list. I purchased this starter pack and a few more additional containers later to make best use of vacuum. So far I am very dissapointed. I am testing it for about 2 weeks now and none of containers keeps the vacum reliably. After first pass some products got rotted because all containers lost the pressure. Now I use the pump every single day to make sure the vacuum is there and my products dont rot again. A plastic box is basically useless as it looses pressure very quickly (in just a few (1-3) hours) no matter what I do. Glass containers are better. Sometimes they keep the vacuum (most of the time) at least for a day, but sometimes they don't and its hard to tell when the vacuum is gone. The pump seems to be fine and I use it to make sure vacuum is there as every day I put it on and if it pumps just for about 2-3 secs it means that the product is secure, but as said, sometimes it is not and this is the worst part because I didnt expect from the product with this price tag being so bad. Initially I thought that maybe these containers were from a bad series, but I ordered a separate one with the same result. I planed to fully replace my storing option in my fridge, but not going to purchase any more. It was a total waste of money. Unfortunately can't send it back as I binned the package. Dont recommend to anyone and I won't purchase a single more container of this brand anymore. I am really so dissapointed as I expected at least some reliablility at this price level.

We were really happy with the pack, however we had to returned it as the vacuum suddenly stopped working. It is good for batch cooking as it can help you to organise all your meals, the bowl's quality are excellent (especially glass one) but the quality of the vaccumm let me down as it is expensive and it broke down after 5 months of use (not too harshly). Maybe it was mine which came with some defects, I don't know but I think I will buy it again whe the price will come down.

Marca tedesca super affidabile e di qualità. Curata in ogni dettaglio, semplice e facile da utilizzare. Mi trovo molto molto bene, le plastiche sn studiate per essere utilizzate anche dentro il microonde. La batteria della pompetta dura all'incirca 40 giorni (senza mai metterlo sotto carica, poi dipende molto anche dal vostro utilizzo). io preso il kit da 16 pezzi ed è super completo. Comode anche le vaschette per chi va al lavoro in ufficio (la guarnizione in gomma permette una chiusura anche senza utilizzo del sotto vuoto). Il vetro utilizzato per gli altri componenti si vede/si sente che è di qualità, bello resistente. I sacchetti di plastica hanno diverse grandezze e si possono lavare sotto acqua corrente con grande semplicità. Con i sacchetti si può eseguire cotture in immersione con acqua bollente "le famose cotture con il sottovuoto". Inoltre abbiamo anche accessorio per conservare le farine (accessorio sarebbe un filtro da mettere all'interno del recipiente per impedire che la farina vada risucchiata all'interno della pompetta)! Insomma studiato in ogni suo dettaglio. Super consigliato.
