Very precise, solid and compact meter
This is helping me to get into microcontrollers for making environmental sensor measurements. It has every measurement I need: capacitance, resistance, DC voltage, DC current, continuity; and plenty of range and precision. It has been perfect for every thing I measured, including some comparisons to other meters and component specs -- it spotted a major problem with some capacitors that I corroborated with another meter. Aside from one alligator clip that does not quite stay clamped, the probes have all been helpful. Takes up little scarce bench space. Selector dial is very crisp.Best meter I've used over 50 years, and I may not have to acquire a higher grade one as I get into smaller and smaller capacitance, voltage, and current measurements to see how well my microcontrollers are doing with their own ADC measuring.

Not perfect, but an incredible value
After using this meter for a few months I have to say I'm generally pleased with it. It blows any meter at this price point away in terms of features and includes a nice range of accessories.Deducting a star however because it does have a couple points of frustration. On mine the selector switch is a bit fickle and sometimes you have to wiggle it a bit to get the meter to come on. Additionally, the plastic lens over the screen scratches easily and the probes tangle a lot since there is not really anywhere to hold them. These are minor complaints that are forgivable at this price point, but you should beware that this is not a substitute for a higher end (read: more expensive) meter even though it has a lot of the same functionality as more upmarket products do. This meter lacks the ruggedness and polish you get from those kind of meters. Again though, this is a good bargain at this price point and will serve light users far better than almost any other meter under $50.

Everything you could want in an inexpensive meter.
Found this on EEVBlog. Small but feels high quality. Good plastics. Nice spec's. Such a good price I bought one for a buddy. Works perfectly as expected. Backlight is nice. Everything you could want in an inexpensive meter. ONLY downside I could find is the contrast range of the display is somewhat Narrow. For the price, this is an easy issue to live with...

Meter is fine - but the probes break and the screen isn't easy to read.
There meter is fine.... But the probes break so easily. When you pull the probe out of the meter, you'll find the guts of the probe still stuck in the meter is really disappointing. The LCD screen is a bit hard to see, you have to look at it at an angle from the bottom towards the top. Cheap LCD and cheap probes that's all.

Not even close
It will not read the correct value of anything. It will read .75volts on a AA batteries and it brand new. my others will read 1.5volts. ohms there is no way to reset or 0 the meter and the meter will not read correct. It is just off on everything it dose.

Small yet packed with features
What an impressive little meter! This is packed with features like micro Volt and Amp measurements and trueRMS that you don't see in meters over $100. It comes with a nice pouch and several probes. Despite its small size it has nice large display digits. And a backlight too! It's also surprisingly accurate--look up EEVBlog video review of the Aneng an8008 which goes into full detail.Note the seller shipped a small "gift" ahead of time with a card explaining the item would show up soon, and it did one week later.

Excellent price for its simplicity and portability.
I have a B.S. in Computer Engineering and had to use lab-grade multimeters/voltmeters extensively. I bought this for a small project with my car, not expecting too much, but I love this thing. The leads have customizeable heads so you can ground them, use alligator clips, and so on. The screen is very bright so I could comfortably use it in dark areas, and switch between low voltage and current with ease. From testing a car's fuses to checking low-draw speaker wire, this is excellent for its price. I haven't even needed to change the batteries on it yet.

Doesn't Read Resistance DONT BUY
It reads voltage just fine as far as i can tell. But it does not read resistance at all, it says 0.000 ohms or OL regardless of range selected, even if i try to set the range manually. As seen in the picture, i verified that my resistors are good with another meter. Now im out $23 because i didnt need to check the resistance of anything until now, and my return window closed 2 weeks ago. The volt meter works fine, so i thought it was all fine and dandy, my mistake. Check to see if yours works.piece of junk, DONT BUY.
