Long lasting
I’ve used these for years and these are the best ice packs I can find on the market. The cost is reasonable, and when it’s placed on the area of injury or discomfort, it does good coverage and it radiates the cold to that area.

Best ice bag. Ever
I used my ice bag a lot. Like, 2-10x/day for three years in a row. And not gently either. In fact, I've subjected it many many many times to abuse that used to ruin my other ice bags by doing only once: placing the now-melted bag of ice back in the freezer to harden. Every other ice bag I tried would get ruined if I tried doing this, which was frustrating because if you're using your ice bag a lot that's the simplest way of getting things cold again. I couldn't tell you how many times I did that with this ice bag, even to the point of forgetting it was in there and leaving it to freeze solid. The most it's done is develop a slight leak at the neck (probably the threads are warped from water freezing between them) and a little oxidation at the top (from skin oils and exposure to sun/freezer/air/heat. It lasts because it's 100% rubber, not plastic-bonded-to-cloth like all the others. Those are fine if you need an ice bag once in a while. For serious icers who need something that lasts, get this. Because it will.

Everyone should buy two of these...
I broke my foot and my neighbor brought over one of these bottles for me to ice my foot. I immediately decided I need to buy my own copy. In the last week, we've purchased four of these. My doctor wrote down the information on this item and plans to buy a truckload. You can't beat this thing for quality, perfect insulation and size, and effectiveness of icing/heating. And it's perfectly LEAK-PROOF!!! Every household should have a couple of these! Great price too. Where can you find ANYTHING medical for this price? Perfect insulation and conformity to your body or wound area. Very happy.

this is a great ice bag
This is no longer as "non-sweating" as the previous one of the same item that I bought a year ago. The older one has a bit of flocking (fuzz) on the outer surface. The newer one doesn't. But other than that, this is a great ice bag.

Good ice bag, and they're hard to find locally
I was amazed at how hard it was to find an ice bag at local stores. This is a pretty standard-issue unit, and it works as advertised. It maintains its seal, and best of all, I was able to get one, after monkeying around with zip-lok bags etc. because local stores didn't carry icebags. The locals wanted to selI me the blue-gel packets that you freeze or heat, and they work OK, but it's a darn sight easier and cheaper to dump a tray of ice cubes into a bag than to wait to re-freeze the blue-gels or buy a bunch of them to rotate. I don't know if it can be used as a hot pack--probably could, if the water isn't too hot--could deteriorate the rubber, I suppose, if you poured in boiling water. It's hard to get rhapsodic about a dang ice bag, but when you need one, this is the ticket.

The best ice bag available on Amazon
The best ice bag available on Amazon. I have used many of the rubber and cloth bags over the years and found that the rubber bags to be exceptional and indispensable for pain control. The rubber bags had fewer pin hole leaks than the cloth. The cloth bags also tend to wear more rapidly than the rubber bags and they tend to have more leaky caps. A small trash bag tied over the rubber bag will control sweating. Also, a small pillow case will provide some comfort and insulation to slow the ice melting. As the ice melts, it is recommended to open the rubber bag cap and vent the accumulated air, as well as, drain the water, to keep the bag nice and cool.

Used Products
The cold compress is great. This one is way bigger than I thought it was going to be, but not a major issue. My big problem is that both items in the two pack I bought had very obviously already been ripped open, but were being sold as "new". It's not even a returnable item so I don't know why they were like that, but I didn't get any support from Amazon about this because they're non-returnable. A little gross to be selling medical equipment out of the box.

Great for ice storage
This is the second one of this model we've purchased. We use it to store the nugget ice made in our counter top ice maker. The material is soft and pliable, yet sturdy enough to beat on to loosen the ice pellets within. We were using zip lock bags but they develop holes and can only be used once, as a result. We like that it has a wider opening to pour ice into and out of. The material stays soft at all temperatures, doesn't seem to sweat and is comfortable to handle.

I bought one of these when I was in the USA last month. These are, as far as I am concerned, the original and genuine ice bags. I use it to ease the pain in my arthritic knee and muscle pain. It work very well for both. On hot nights it works very well as a 'cold water bottle' - the exact opposite of a hot water bottle. No doubt you'll be surprised to know that we need both in Scotland! My only regret is that I did not buy more than one when I was in the USA. UPDATE: Amazon.co.uk has this large ice bag for sale at £3.11! I find that an incredibly low price. Note that because of the low price it has to be bought as an add-on - soooo... when you next buy anything from amazon.uk add this to your basket - at this price you have virtually nothing to loose!!
