Net Zero solves the problem, but could the sheer mass of our buildings be the incredible opportunity to keep carbon out of the atmosphere?Build Beyond Zero is jam packed with resources and is not only thoroughly researched, but extremely well written. Chris & Bruce do an amazing job of curating the most relevant and up-to-date information for all to understand. Exceeding technically specific modalities, Build Beyond Zero steps back to look at the bigger picture, and brings us back to the basics. Remembering the significant role of the materiality of our buildings is one of the keys to success. In this book you will discover not only the limitations we face, but also the many possibilities as seen by the many innovations unfolding as we speak. From the highest technological advancements to the most fundamental processes of the natural world, we are embarking on exciting new territory of this merging through the lens of architecture. This book brought a very refreshing & positive perspective to a dense and serious topic. Bruce and Chris use humor and wit to lighten the mood, and had me laughing out loud. All the graphs and visual queues were very helpful and the occasional quote was well received wisdom indeed!
