New Favorite Thumbstick Grip
Being picky about game controllers and controller thumbstick grips… I love these. First of all, installation has been easy and they stay put on the couple different (type) of controllers I have put the Gecko Grips on. They provide a nice feel, one with grip, nice surface area for my larger thumbs and yet not a rough hard grip. I do highly recommend for a try.

Amazing thumb stick grips that last years and many more!
TLDR: Loose fit on 8bitdo controllers but still works well. Still grippy. Odd to clean. Durable.I used my grips on the 8bitdo Pro2 controller and the 8bitdo Ultimate bluetooth controller since around the end of 2022 and they've been solid ever since. They're a little odd to clean where scrubbing them doesn't make them look new again but I'm assuming that's because of the "gecko texturing" they have going on in the middle of them. On the 8bitdo controller sticks they do seem to be able to rotate fairly easily, probably attributed to the fact that the tops of 8bitdo's controller sticks are smaller than other companies make theirs, but they do stay on and stay centered, and they're still grippy after a long while of using them!Note: on the pro2 controller I did have to raise the stick a little bit by putting some paper inside where the shaft of the actual sensor goes into the stick that you see so the underside of the grip wouldn't catch on the surrounding area of the stick. The grips do work on the 8bitdo Ultimate controller without having to raise the stick at all.

Fantastic, but...
These do have a superior grip to the MANY brands I have tried over the years, but they lack longevity. I'd estimate 3 months before they need to be replaced to maintain peak performance. This is why I give -1 star. The reason it is not -2 stars is because even when the 'gecko' aspect has inevitably worn off, they are still on par with cheaper grips and don't wear down much further, unlike many other grips that completely fall apart. If these we a bit more price friendly, I'd give them 5 stars because everything wears down eventually, but the recurring cost is a bit high on these. Maybe 4 for $15 would be the right price to better accommodate wear.Regardless of my gripes, I am here to buy for a 3rd time. I've bought these two times in the past year as I only use 1 at time on the stick that I want to be most grippy.Photo: Approximately 3 months of Rocket League on the left stick only. I tried to clean it a bit, but it's grippy and collects lint and dead skin. 😆

Difficult to put on.
The product simply states to flip the button inside out and stick it on top of the joystick and to flip it back into place.Yeah....not that easy at all. Almost broke my controller trying to put these things on. They need to be a tiny bit bigger to wrap fully around the button.

Actually insanely grippy
The media could not be loaded. Let’s keep it simple here; you are looking for stick covers for more grip right? Well these are the best ones out there for grip imo. All other stick covers loose their grip fast + once you try these you’ll realize they never even had real grip to begin with. Your thumbs will basically become one and feel glued to the sticks with these covers. 10/10

These are absolutely ridiculous to try and get on the joystick. Terrible.
