This little clip solves the common problem on these vehicles where the windscreen wiper linkage becomes worn and starts to pop off. New (or second-hand) linkages are very expensive, even from a scrapyard. This little clip solves the problem. Be warned, it takes a bit of fiddling to fit and I would absolutely recommend taking the whole wiper linkage off, from the motor to the end wiper. It is much, much easier to fit the clip when you have the whole linkage on a flat surface, than trying to fit it in situ. I tried and tried to manoeuvre it into place without taking the whole linkage off and the time it took to try would have been better spent taking the whole linkage off, fitting the clip and then refitting the linkage.Be warned, fitting this clip takes at least an average level of skill but is well within the capability of anyone with at least a fundamental level of handy person knowledge. You might need to take a trip to Toolstation or Screwfix if you don't have the necessary Torx bit to take the plastic tray off but apart from that all is needed is a 13mm and a 10mm spanner and a large flat head screwdriver.All in all this is a simple but superb solution to a common problem. I am only left wondering why they come in packs of four. Once it's fitted that should be it. Time will tell. Hugely recommended.

Does exactly what you want it to but will take several attempts to get it on. Once on, it solves all your issues.

Not a great fit but it's held the linkage together which helps keeps the Mrs happy.

The clips were good strong quality stainless steel.I used it to fix my driver side wiper linkage on a Audi Q7 2009. The only issue I had was the the forked end of the clip opening was too small.I managed to retrofit the clip by grinding/filing the forked end opening on the clip wider to fit the neck of the connecting ball joint.The original plastic on both sides of the arm also had to be filed about 3mm on both sides so the the clip could rest flat when attached.Have been using the wipers for about 2 days and the clip still in the same position as when attached. Finger crossed stays that way permanently.

These are not easy to fit but it’s doable! Would definitely recommend and use again. Several months since fitted and going strong!!

Great item, I’m by far no mechanic but after seeing that changing the linkage rods in a garage could cost up to £300 I thought why not give it a goFitting the clip holds the original rod firmly and has got my wipers back in actionThanks for this great, cheap fix
