Works Great
This kettle works great. The only thing I would change is from celsius to fahrenheit. You also have to press the power button twice to turn on.

Temperature control is a plus
TemperatureFrom pipe to boiling for 1.7L about 7 min 40 sec. Other brand like amazon basics are around 7 min 15 sec. The time are pretty consistent It is slower than most others but not much, still acceptable.OperationFirst when place on the basement, the start and cancel button lights up. Then you press it, seems begin, but it actually not. You'd have to press another time to begin. The light will be turned on as green indicates lower temperature. with the temperature goes higher the color eventually turn red. it is interesting.ErgoMost of the cattle will open lid when press a button on the handle using thumb. This one since the place was taken by the buttons. You'd have to use the other hand to press a button on the top. Not too bad.Water flow. The water flow is good, will not go anywhere even if turn the cattle up side down. I had one cattle, will spread to everywhere if not careful. it seems not important, but considering the 100C boiling water came out.Others.the cattle will be hot, hopefully there could be some insolation to keep it warm not hot.Plus,My wife like 45C water, I can provide perfect warm water for her everytime.

Boil-then-cool kettle that can also keep warm
+ 1.7L is a good capacity+ metallic body is light, safer from drops than glass, and also provides decent insulation by being layered. As a trade-off, there is a less good view for cleaning/ identifying the water level.- In order to see the volume gauge when filling the kettle, I have to hold the kettle at a particular angle- the kettle is confusing to start since the procedure differs a bit from the manual. The manual says once it is filled/plugged in and you press the start button once, the water will start to heat up. However the actual kettle requires I press the start button once to “wake up” the kettle, and then again to actually begin heating. To use the keep warm function, you have to wake up the kettle, press keep warm, set temperature as desired, then press start. The process is a bit more complicated than other kettles. The kettle draws 1450W as measured by a power meter when the heating element is on. It took 7m50s to heat 1.7L of water from an indicated 30C to 100C. Like most kettles, the heating element runs continuously for the first 6 minutes or so to bring the water up to 90C, then pulses on and off to gently reach boiling temperature. Total power consumption over this process is about 170whThe metallic kettle is insulated, the outside body stays at a warm 100F while water inside is at 160F as measured by an IR thermometerUnlike some electric kettles, this kettle controls the keep warm function with an electronic toggle button rather than mechanical switch, and reliably shuts off in boil-then-cool mode for people who just want room temperature water that is safe to drink

Heats water fast and precisely-Celsius only
The media could not be loaded. I love using this kettle to make water for french press coffee most mornings. I fill the container the night before so it is ready in the morning. There is a window below the handle that has marked measurements so I know exactly how much water is in the kettle. Then I place the kettle on the power pad, select the temperature in celsius (I usually use 85 degrees) and push start. About 4 minutes later my water is ready at the perfect temperature for french press coffee. There is a nifty light that changes color as the water warms up.The kettle is easy to clean as needed. Perfect for coffee, tea hot cocoa etc. and has very intuitive operation. I'm pleased with this kettle.Note: The kettle only measures in celsius (100 degree max with 5 degree increments). It is easy to make the adjustments but important to know so one understands why it will only go to 100 degrees.

Cannot open the lid
Sometimes after i use my kettle, the lid get stuck. I can still fill it from where i pour the water from but it s not very convenient. Also the water takes forever to boil, way slower than my kettle in France

Works well to heat up my water
The media could not be loaded. It works well to heat my water. I like that I can set the temp I want and it shuts off when that temp is reached. It heats up rather quickly. It is easy to clean and use. It is a good value for the size, ease of use, functionality and price.

Great feature, but slow to boil
Great features, but takes a very long time to boil. Keep Warm feature keeps switching itself off...
