If you want something with features like the Microsoft Surface but don't want to break the bank, this device is for you.
For the price I paid, it's definitely a great value when compared to a Surface Pro. Detachable keyboard, stylus included, and fairly good build quality especially for the price. I feel that anyone who gave this a bad review either bought a lemon or was expecting a high end p.c. for close to $300. My wife and I both purchased one and so far I've had no problems with mine, she had to restart it one time but that was it. The stylus works fine, albeit I have really no experience with using styluses with tablets but it's fine for me. No, it's not a blazing fast processor, but it's perfectly adequate for web surfing, watching videos, and light tasks. The portability combined with the ability to detach the keyboard is a huge selling point given that one of the closest competitors is the MS Surface which is in a completely different category for price. The battery life has been very good as well, due to the low stressed processor. Overall, if the reliability holds up this is a solid device.Update: 04/18- Admittedly I experienced that same (no booting) problem that everyone seems to have with the specific device. It would only power on with the power button held down. Upset, but knowing it was under warranty I sent the device in. After about a week and a half of shipping the tablet back, them fixing it, and sending it back, I finally have my tablet back. The screen was apparently replaced and the device works as normal. This seems to be a common problem with these tablets and I'm sure Asus is aware of the issue. For now, the device is working better than ever. My fiance owns the same tablet and has yet to experience the same issue as me so maybe it was a certain batch of devices that experienced this issue.

Great Until It Stopped Working After 40 Days....
I purchased this for my wife. Our initial impressions were pretty positive. It has a similar look and feel to the Surface, but at a fraction of the price. In fact, I like the keyboard more than my old Surface Pro 3. Screen is fine and the weight is a lot lighter than the ASUS T100. It's not a workhorse but for regular web browsing, taking notes, watching Netflix, reading email....it's perfect. That is to say, it *was* perfect. After about 40 days it's become completely unusable. First, it wouldn't turn on at all. My wife charged it, still nothing. After experimenting, I realized it would turn on, if you held down the power button for ~30 seconds and then it would shut down immediately after releasing the button.Good luck typing while you have one finger holding down the power button. A Google search shows that I'm not the only one facing this. This 'should' be covered by the manufacturer's warranty, but it's a process, I'll be paying for shipping, waiting for the repairs, plus all of the time I've already wasted trying to fix it, etc, etc....

Great for notes
I bought this for note taking and it works well for that. I have a Surface 4 and the screen is too large to hold and write comfortably. The screen on this is just large enough. Windows 10 is good for converting handwriting to text particularly if you take time to train it to improve recognition. The included pen is a bit uncomfortable to hold. The fingerprint scanner to unlock the computer works surprisingly well. I read some reviews that stated it was inconsistent. That has not been a problem for me. The battery life is a definite plus at up to 11 hours. I will be able to use this at all day meetings and workshops without worrying about running out of battery power. If you're looking for a note taking tablet at an affordable price I would definitely recommend this one.Update: I've been using this tablet for about one year almost exclusively to take written notes that are translated into text and continue to recommend it for affordable price and size. I did replace the pen as it intermittently stopped working. The battery life is good for all day use and the size is comfortable. The new SurfaceGo is probably about the same size and with the keyboard and pen about $300 more expensive. The ASUS comes with both keyboard and pen. There is a slight lag when translating handwriting to text compared to the surface pro probably due to the slower processor. However, it is not significant. I've had several Windows based handwriting to text tablets. My handwriting is atrocious. It has taken some multiple hours of training the operating system to recognize my writing. I am often surprised that the the system can at times read my handwriting when I can't and estimate the accuracy is over 90%. Expect to spend time training the system to recognize your handwriting whatever Windows device you buy. Strictly for taking written notes to be translated to text this is still my preferred devise.
