This cheese is very tasty -- and close to the taste of schuler's bacon-cheddar bar cheese spread. We are from Michigan and schuler's bacon-cheddar cheese was a tradition on holidays, but now we live in the south and have missed it for years. Pine River Smokey Bacon does not have to be refrigerated until after you open it. We served it with club crackers and it was a big hit with my family as an appetizer on Thanksgiving. So glad to have found this!!

good cheddar flavor , wish the bacon was a little stronger - good shelf life without refrigeration ( before opening ) - can be spread on more delicate crackers after 20 minutes at room temperature -very good in chilli - a good spread - have bought it several times
