I use this thread when I crochet Christmas angels for their halos. It is perfect

I'd say it's not for beginners because the metallic part stretches and pulls apart when over worked.

I expected this thread to be a bit stiff, but at times it was hard to work with-especially with a super small hook. But it soaked in the Christmas lights, and made the halos on my Angels shine!

I used this to make tassels and the metallic thread tended to separate out from the tan base thread. I imagine it would be okay if you were just crocheting but maybe not if you had to tear it out and redo a stitch. Still, this is hard to find in stores so I was glad to find it here.

The thread has a mind of its own . I bought it because it has more cotton content . I am doubting that now .

While crocheting with Aunt Lydia’s metallic gold, I’m constantly having to untwist the thread. It’s really time consuming. I’ve never had this much trouble with twisting thread. Other Aunt Lydia thread I’ve used hasn’t done this.

The yarn is too thin. I have to use 2 treads that made my project twice as expensive.The ideal was to find the gold metallic yarn number 5.
