Great for over-sensitive skin
I have ultra-sensitive skin and shop extensively for facial skin products that my skin can tolerate. Cetaphil Deep Hydrating Skin Water Gel is a real gem. The viscosity is a bit strange, but it smooths over the face, cleanly and evenly. I let it absorb into my face before applying a cream to combat redness (rosacea). The results have been wonderful; my skin is less irritated, smoother, and far more comfortable. The gel has excellent hydrating results. Totally recommended!!!

Simple, Gentle, and ReliaBle
The Cetaphil Deep Hydration Skin Restoring Water Gel has been a great everyday moisturizer. There’s nothing fancy about it — no strong scent, no over-the-top claims — but it really works. It’s gentle, soothing, and keeps skin hydrated without feeling sticky or heavy. Perfect for daily use, especially if you like simple, effective skincare that just does its job.

The answer to all my perioral dermatitis problems.
This product, when combined with the vanicream face wash, cleared my perioral dermatitis in 4 days. I spent more than a year in and out of dermatologist's office and getting tested for allergies. Literally nothing helped. Well, corticosteroids did but they damage your skin and as soon as you stop it comes back worse. I finally found a esuper detailed post about Malassezia / fungal acne on reddit that said bacteria and fungus can feed on the lipids that are common in almost all moisturizers. I don't know how it relates but switching out ALL my face products, for ones like this that are mallesszia-safe on, solved the problem. Also, if you are wondering if this will be moisturizing enough, I have really dry skin that is prone to allergy and eczema. I was worried this would not be nearly enough hydration. But it is. t is light and has a weird, mucous consistency (I know that sounds gross but I don't know how else to describe it) and it feels like nothing going on. But my skin is so happy and not dry at all. No breakouts, no dermatitis, not even any acne.

Good product
Grade for the sensitive, dry skin. Worth your money. There is no scent so that helps as week.

Gentle moisturizer that will keep your pores clean
It's ok. Nothing overly impressive but nothing terrible. It will moisturize your skin and keep your pores from getting clogged. Probably best for acne prone sensitive skin and/or if you're looking for moisturize in the non-winter months. It's a clear jelly that applies to skin easily and absorbs well but if you use even a tiny bit too much, your face will feel heavy and sticky for hours. You need to learn how much is too much (or too little) for your skin. Unscented, works well with my very sensitive skin, and didn't cause any breakouts or blackheads or any other irritation. Washes off easily with a standard face cleanser and keeps skin moisturized all day long. Decent value for the money.

Amazing moisturizer!
A little goes a long, long way! This stuff is my holy grail now. Works as well as (or better than) some expensive moisturizers I've tried. I use it on top of my regular moisturizer and it locks it all in; if I go without this, my skin starts to feel dry after a few hours due to the cold, dry winter air. If your face feels sticky or slimy, you used too much-- seriously, I use a pinky fingernail amount and that's plenty.

Really hydrating but clogs pores easily
I bought this because it’s fungal acne safe. It in fact really did help soothe my skin when I dried it out too much while fighting my FA, felt really great on my skin, and I woke up every morning with my skin still feeling nice and plump. With that said… after a week of use, I got lots of little bumps on my cheeks, forehead, and chin. After stopping using this product, I got no more and they started to go away. I ran the ingredients through an acne checker and see that it contains Algin, which is a 4 out of 5 on the comedogenic scale, so clogs pores extremely easily. I’m really disappointed because this would be my perfect moisturizer without that. If you don’t have acne prone skin, this is a great choice, but otherwise, I’d steer clear.

My holy grail of moisturizer!
It wasn't until I have learned the phrase "fungal acne" that I realized why everything I applied on my face tends to break me out. This cetaphil moisterizer is not only FA safe, but moisturizes effectiely. There are other FA safe moisturizers on the market, but Cetaphil is affordable and widely available. The only thing I don't like about it is that it comes in a jar, and I prefer a hygenic pump dispenser. Personally I have not experienced anything like "peeling", but I don't put layers of products on my skin. There's a bit stickiness on the finger tips when the product is still wet, but once dried it's perfectly fine. You only need to apply a thin layer on your skin. If you experience extra stickiness or shine you are using too much. The container looks big but it's mostly thick glass. The actual product is only 1.7 oz by volume, about half the max-allowed airline travel size. Overall I am happy with this product. I waited several weeks before writing this review, so I know for sure it does't break me out. I hope Cetaphil will never change the formula or discontinue it. Update: 3 months later still blemish free! After consistent usage my skin is now soft and smooth. Will update further into the winter when air is much dryer.
