Why is it so hard to find a two-way headset switch at a reasonable price? This is not rocket science. However, I was surprised to find that searches returned products that looked professional grade (and were expensive) or products that looked like they were cobbled together by a teenager with a vintage Radio Shack science kit.The APHELEIA 3.5mm Audio Switch Microphone Compatible AB A/B Switcher is almost perfect.The build is great. It feels solid, and the switch seems sturdy. It works like a charm.The only change I would want is to replace the built-in cable with a 3rd jack. That way, you could replace the cable if it wears out or use a longer cable.Otherwise, this is a great and perplexingly hard to find item.

I am using this to switch my headset between my work and home pc quickly. I had trouble finding other devices that supported the 4 pole 3.5mm connector(headphone+mic) switching, but this device from Apheleia Electronics does just that. It appears to be designed to switch from one source to multiple outputs, but works in reverse as well. If you are using it to switch two inputs to a single output, you may need to buy a 4 pole 3.5mm adapter to convert the male end of this to a female end to go to your headset cable.The only thing that could potentially use improvement is the case containing the switch appears to be 3d printed and as such has some surface imperfections. This does not in any way effect it's functionality and is truly nitpicking.

Most of the time I like to use external speakers while on my computer. However, I like to switch over to a headset when engaging with language lessons using Rosetta Stone. I kept having to unplug my external speaker then plug in my headset, and reversing the process afterward. However, this simple device eliminates the need for constant unplugging/replugging. Both items work perfectly, and a simple toggle is all it takes. To be clear, this item is basically an A/B switch allowing you to use either one device or another at any given time - not both simultaneously. This is exactly what I needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a similar setup.

Finally a product that works, I have two different portable game devices plugged into my sound system and they don't interfere with each other. I can't hear any noise or hum and it is really small in size to boot. I did not test any device with a microphone to try that feature out but with stereo it sounds good. I also love that it is an American company that made this, Buy Local.

Does what I need it to, but makes a loud "popping" sound in my headset when switching inputs.I'll use it and deal with it for now, but would be great if it was built to not create such a hurtful noise when switching.

This worked great out of the box. I now have to mess with the plug in headphones to get it working out of both ears. My small speakers (I tried two sets) got terrible interference, not sure if this was from the unit or other equipment.

I use a hearing aid TV connector, which connects to my TV headphone receptacle with a 3.5mm cable and my hearing aids receive the audio over bluetooth. But sometimes I connect the TV connector to my stereo tape out via a 3.5mm to RCA splitter cable. I installed this APHELEIA 3.5mm Audio Switch so I can now just easily switch between stereo to TV. I only wanted a passive switch without any volume control and this unit fits the bill. Works perfectly and just what I needed!
