My New Nikon
Overall, I think so far with my limited use I would give the camera a five star rating. Check back with me later on for a more comprehensive rating as I am still familiarizing myself with the proper operation and perhaps the ease of using the camera. The Kit Lnes overall so far 18 140 I think for my level as an amatuer provides more than an adequate amount of a nice image. , I wish the camera was a little less on the weight but I think that the weight also provide and makes the camera a good camera as opposed to some of the other brands. The camera has many functions and oportunity to use all of them has not happened for me but perhaps someone with a great deal more experience I would think depending on their level would find them very useful. I as far as value for the money, I think the base cost for the box sounds fair and with the kit lens I think overall the price was not out of range. One of the opportunities I liked very much was to use lenses from an older camera, have tried one so far and the image was more than adequate for my use which by the way is mostly posting on the internet. Someone who has been following me for a couple of years was able to see that the quality of my images posted was far greater than other models used from other companies. My overall concern those is the limit on the actualtions of 150, 000. Keep in mind I am not sure what other companies provide. Check back with me later and Perhaps I can provide a better insight to how much I like , what I like about this camera. Keep in mind I am a senior in my 80's and for the most part I am out every day taking photos and try to get it correct in camera as opposed to heavy editing .

Durability
Great asp camera with most functions of a d500. Don't let the one battery purist steering you away from this camera. Weather sealed as long as your lenses of choice are also.bought this a month after coming out and this is my second purchase. You will not spend as much as an mirrorless.Great all around camera withalmost unlimited lense choice. My month old dopped 7ft off a 1011 Abrams tank hauler I was inspecting and landed on its back. Thought I would have to finish with phone, but I got a no screen protector scratch on the back screen and a button pushed to the side that took me a while to figure out. Was doing high end auro wrecks and with the rubber bottom I have in direct sunlight set it down on roofs ,hoods, but thislexus with covers all over the engine, I set it down as usual and seconds passed as I went to the other side of the car. It slid of the coated plastic and hit the copart pavement bouncing off the the lense and body. I picked it up and the back screen was cracked bad and the lenses my favorite 12-24 1.4 was stiff in the middle but finishe the job and many after. Love this camera! Why i bought a new one from adorable. Now I can send thise one to nikon. And yes feel it worth it. Over 6 years I average 310 photos a job. I will let them fix my lense and screen.

its the last enthusiasts dx camera get it now before its gone
its 2025 looking for a new camera came across the new D7500 i could not believe that it was. the last year was 2017 i did check the numbers and shutter count it was brand new ..I know people have issue with it being one sd card slot..but think about it when you had a flim camera you could only use one roll of flim .. so in a way its like that i had a d7000 bought it new and still use it so i wonted to upgrade i try to find a d500 but i keep getting lemons one seller said it was good as new check the shutter it was almost 300,000 shutter count send it back .. got another one it started to have focus issue . then amazon for some reason had me wight 30 days for my refund then i came across this brand new one. so far i like everything about it .. so if you are looking for a travel camera,,,a general purpose camera ,, or looking to get started in photography then this is a great one for that .. Now i do have to agree there is now battery grip option for it so buy extra batteries turn on airplane mode .. swith off gps .. you get liitle more life out of them .

Probably the last DX enthusiast body from Nikon
This is Bob.. so..started with D80 moved to D7000 and this camera is such an improvement over those… even though it came out over eight years ago. I agree with the other reviewer who said this is probably the last f mount dx enthusiast camera body from them. Get one, your lenses will thank you. Your flash is probably fine, too. I have an old sb600 and it works great with it. Just control the flash separately. Very nice camera. Don’t miss out.
