Bought this as an alternative to another cream which my daughter is allergic to. Also will be handy to have around for our dogs who have itchy feet. We soak their feet in this and it helps alleviate the itch.

My ball python was showing very very early signs of scale rot. After diluting this properly (about 1:10 ratio of the iodine to water) dabbing it on her belly and applying some polysporin after it dried, it cleared right up after a couple of weeks and a shed. She's doing great now.

It can also be used to clean skin around a wound or before a surgery. Stains normally wash off from skin after a few washes, but try not to get it on clothing before it completely dries. The best replacement for Neosporin (contains neomycin) that can give you allergic reactions (contact dermatitis) after prolonged use.As far as the brand, Betadine is the gold standard brand, no problems at all.
