Best knife I have bought in ages.
I don't often go out of my way to write product reviews, but this knife is worth it. This knife is an absolute UNIT. It's beefy, but in a good way. Like those old Buck knives from the 60s. Heavy, but not too heavy. Really sturdy feeling knife. It just feels good to hold. It's beautiful to look at and I find myself doing so often. The handle is a masterpiece of design. It ticks all my boxes for a knife. It has a textured grip with rounded edges. There are cut aways right where the fings wrap around the handle that make it even more comfortable to hold. It has a very quick and crisp snap open with zero blade wobble. The design of the blade is unique. All the edge work and added details are fantastic. I CANNOT believe this knife is only $32. This knife is a steal at this price point.

Incredibly well done knife! Hits way above!
I’ve heard some really good things about Petrfied Fish knives! I like multiple deployment and I saw this one in my price range and thought I’d give it a try! I wasn’t disappointed! This is a very impressive knife for the $32 I paid! The action is snappy, buttery smooth and drop shut on release of the liner lock! The ergonomics are awesome just feels great in the hand! The D2 blade is 3.5 inches and came razor sharp! It’s a mid size knife almost 8 inches overall! My favorite size! Has a reversible clip that attaches under the g10 scales, so no screws to catch on your pocket! Blade opens several ways! The hole in the blade is well designed and placed for thumb open or reverse flick! Can’t say enough good things about this knife! Really like it!

Excellent Qualty for the low price
The Petrified Fish PF868 Bunta is a stellar budget EDC knife, delivering premium quality for under $35. Its 3.35-inch D2 steel blade, with a sharp modified drop point, slices effortlessly and retains its edge well. The smooth flipper action and thumb hole make deployment a breeze, while the 5.1-ounce G10 handle offers a comfortable, secure grip. At 7.91 inches open, it’s substantial yet sleek. The stainless steel liner lock ensures reliability, and the modern design stands out. For its price, the Bunta’s build, performance, and style are unbeatable, making it a top choice for everyday carry. Highly recommended!

Absolutely great all purpose folding knife
Almost the perfect flipper.... I really like everything about the knife and if 4.5 stars were an option, that would be where I'd put it. The grip and the way it feels in hand. The flip to open feels smooth, secure, and solid. The blade is sharp and retains it's edge extremely well. It's small enough for every day carry but big enough to tackle larger tasks. The only single complaint I have is the location of the retention clip. It's reversible but it's on the wrong end of the knife with no way to change that.

Just got this knife and all I can say is WOW!
Just got this knife and all I can say is WOW! I always heard that PF knives have good fit and finish, and the bunta is no different. Good size, weight, and feel. Super sharp. Really nice G10 handles. Super tight lock up. Really nice back flipper. Pocket clip design is nice and smooth. I'm impressed. Will be buying more PF products. 5 STARS!

FANTASTIC QUALTY & PRICE.
I've been waiting to be asked for my review and I cannot be more enthusuastic. I have over forty different folders of different brands and varieties but I cannot recall ever being more pleased than I was to recieve inspect and use this flipper! Materials (Black G10/D2 Steel) fit and finish are excellent and comparable with the very best. Operation is smooth as butter, balance, grip and lock-up are excellent, very sharp out of the box, a truly deep carry non-snag clip and just the right size both opened and closed for my new EDC. Previous EDC was the great Large Honey Badger Tanto (still a favorite) but wanted something a bit smaller and was thinking of their Medium Tanto but glad I chanced on this crazy good Petrified Fish instead. I'm so pleased with the husky blade, its shape and versatility in use. Truly STELLAR Flipper for the very reasonable price asked! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! WOW!!!

There is an exception to every rule...
Shoutout to Luke at the Outdoor Gear Review. I bought this immediately, based on his recommendation. FYI, if you order this, know that it's shipped from China. However, the wait time wasn't too bad. I ordered it January 9th, it shipped the same day, and I received it January 17th. I've had a bunch of knives from China that were generally just okay, coming in nondescript boxes. But this knife is head and shoulders above all of them. It comes in a fairly nice presentation box with a sleeve over it, along with a cleaning cloth, a Petrified Fish sticker (giving their website), and a little Ziploc baggie with 2 extra screws in case you want to remount the boot clip to the other side. The knife also comes in a Ziploc baggie. Folded, it is about 4.50", extended it is about 7.75" (7.91"), so it almost has a 3.50" (3.35") blade. It's not too heavy, compared to some I have in this size. It is a thin-style knife, and fits in the hand real well; and with kind-of rounded edges, is comfortable to hold. It appears to be made of a composite material identified as G10, which is a synthetic knife handle material made of woven fiberglass fabric and epoxy resin. It is strong and durable, while also being lightweight. It doesn't absorb water, which makes it a good outdoor knife. There is a lanyard hole. There is a very sturdy stainless-steel boot clip (which can be mounted to the other side if you're left-handed). The pivot is designed with ceramic ball bearings, and has a real smooth operation. One side of the pivot has the Petrified Fish logo (PF) on it. The 0.14" blade is touted as being made of D2 tool steel, which is an air-hardened, high carbon, high chromium steel with high wear and abrasion resistance; which can be heat treated and has a hardness of 60 HRC. The flipper is ridged, making it easy for your thumb to latch on it to open the knife. One side of the flipper has inscribed the type of steel used (D2), and the other side has the model number inscribed on it (868). The top of the blade also has a nice-sized, very functional thumb notch on it, if you like to open your knives that way. So, yeah, this knife really surprised me, especially at the price-point it's being offered at. It's a sturdy, well-made knife, and a really good deal. Buy it now before the price goes up.
