Great for my boat fenders
Excellent for attaching and adjusting my boat fenders. Simple sturdy construction.

Nice quality
These are a bit big for fenders . It WILL NOT go on 7/8” of ss tubing as claimed!! Beware of that fact . I purchased these to use as tie downs for my pick up and boat to trailer .. excellent quality is definitely a bonus !!

Perfect, makes life much easier
The media could not be loaded. This thing works perfectly, the latch is easy to use by wife if needed. This should be standard for all boaters as having a guest, wife or worker all using some random, inconsistent or complicated knot is just not the best idea. The clip part is easy and not tough to use.The line went right through no problem I have my fenders for the front now set to length as well as rear & middle just in case. These will adjust up/down if needed in probably ~1 second. The stainless matches my hardware perfectly & is incognito vs those bulky plastic adjusters which I ordered as well and wasn’t as good as this.Much bigger in person than the photos look which is perfect. Also, you only have to pull the adjustment lever to lower the line, you can freely pull the line upwards without doing anythingI will come back to this review & update if the clip, lever or housing rusts, gets hard to use or whatever.

Great idea and product, but a little low strength
I bought these because I liked the concept. I set them up on my boat and left for the week. When I returned I found that one was bent to a point where I didn’t feel comfortable leaving it to secure my boat. Looks like the hook bent out and now the spring clip won’t reach. These worked great and the mechanism that interacts with the rope still works great and is super easy to use. If they would make something heavier duty that would be stellar. I was quite surprised that this bent because they do feel very heavy duty, but it was just used to secure a 20’ Lund and there was not any overly windy days. Maybe I just had one that was not hardened? The others appear to be holding well for now.

Not sure what to think!
Ok, when I received these I really like themThey were SOLID! But....when I put them on the boat I realized they have a flaw! They are heavy and solid and anything they rub up against will in time be damaged I'm affraid! In my case, they rub up against the fiberglass/gel coat. I'm using them and trying to decide if I'll keep them or if I'll maybe need to add some kind of rubber or fabric guard to protect finish of boat. I think these might be better used on the rails where they change more freely.

well made metal
Seems solid made with a strong spring maybe almost a strong as a rat trap. The size is misleading as mentioned in other posts. Loop is 1.18" however clearance is measured by others as 0.77" I measured approximately 13/16".I took pics with 1/2 " rope and 5/8" rope and will use it by attaching it to the dock rope and then using the end loop or tying a bowline at the end to clip it to around the rail, so locking onto the rail is not an issue for me.

Looks the part but broke when I needed it
Seems heavy duty but broke when I needed it not to. Fender didn't break, line didn't break the hook broke.
