These wire cutters work great. They cut wires so easily so be careful. I use the tip like pliers to bend wire too. Very handy tool! Plus it has the little lever lock to keep them closed when not in use.

There handy cutters / wire stripper is exactly what one would expect. These are sharp and do a great job stripping wire and are quite easy to use. These ergonomic design fits nice and comfortable in the palm of my hand. The wire size that it takes is perfect. The latch to lock the opening makes it fit nicely into the drawer saving space. I would say that for the price, these are well worth it.

So, I am actually a really big fan of the standard common red wire strippers from Harbor Freight. I've gotta have at least 5 or 6 sets of them laying around all over the place, in different tool boxes. They are sharp, and cheap--like less than $5, if I remember correctly. However, from what I recall, they only go down to about 20 awg. And when you're trying to strip ethernet cable wires, or small landscaping wires, or working with other fine electronics, you really need something that can handle the smaller gauge. For the $7 I paid for these, I am absolutely stoked. They go down to a really small wire gauge, have a good grip, and have a nice tight spring for good recoil. Little manufacturing oil residue on the metal portions, which wipes off easily. But, before you wipe it off, I prefer to leave it on there, to keep them from rusting. I can't believe it has taken me this long to order a set, instead of using a box knife or my teeth... Would buy these again!

I have been using this for a while. I'd say it's good but not great. But, for the price, it works semi-reliably. It's not very sharp when it comes to cutting/stripping common electrical wire. Also, It's not very comfortable, and you get tired of it quickly, as the yellow part of the handle isn't well padded and doesn't provide leverage. Biggest issue is the hole sizing isn't very accurate. It often cuts through the wire sheathing and you can see marks on the copper itself, so I just repeat the process with a bigger size hole (i.e. strip 12 gauge wire using 10 gauge hole) Over all, it's cheap and functional as a temp stripper, but for recurrent work even as a DIYer, get something better.

Needed new wire strippers to work on electronic projects using pretty small gauge wires. These wire strippers do the job well. Easy to use and affordable.

A good tool for the $. The type of jobs I do, tools have come up missing so I get cheaper to restock. Just finished rewiring 10 lights and This does a decent job stripping wires. Grips work decent and spring loaded is good!

I have several wire strippers but was working with some very small wire and wasn't having a lot of luck stripping the wires without breaking. Once you get past 22 it gets difficult to strip with your thumbnail or a blade without breaking/cutting the wire. These are just what the doctor ordered. I was able to strip some 24 and 26 gauge stranded wires with no problems I also used it to do some small gauge solid core wire but not for use, just to see how they'd work, and they didn't disappoint. If you're working with small wire, it's worth to have the right tool for the job!
