use a credit card to assemble panels
Light weight, might not take much abuse. To see where the small screws go, look at the pictures in the description on the Amazon webpage where you bought it. They have no diviots just do the best you can to hit the aluminum. The screws are called self tapping if you have to buy more. If you are mounting into siding, I suggest 3 inch long 1/4 lag bolts-- With hex heads, because you cannot get a screwdriver into the bracket space.. And they should work with the washers supplied with those anchor bolts And predrill the holes into the siding. Two people needed to hang it unless you are a cabinet hanger and know how to use a t brace under it. If the panels don't want to go into the H clip, use a credit card and slide it along to hold the legs of the h clip apart. Should take about an hour to assemble and twenty minutes to hang if you have the right tools and the lags, no lags are supplied, just comes with the anchors meant to be used for mounting in brick mortar joints. This is still up and perfect after one year. It keeps my back door dry, and about two feet of deck dry.

Decent quality....sort of
Pros: cheap, easy to install, solid brackets to hold the structure upCons: the amber top is two pieces and isn't plexy more like a honey combed semi transparent cover. Wish they were wider, you can add more for length but not depth.I installed 3 on the back of apartment buildings to provide some shade and reduce the rain and snow for the tenants. This will be the first year, if it holds up I'll install 3 more.

Garbage - save your money
This is utter junk. It took me WAY too long to assemble due to the practicality non-existent directions, poor fit and total junk components. Okay, to be totally fair the side pieces seem to be fairly durable but the transparent panel is, and I’m not exaggerating, the poorest quality material I have ever seen. It is nothing more than a tinted piece of flimsy plastic like those tri-fold project boards kids use in high school for a science fair. The first puff of wind will dismantle it IF it doesn’t deteriorate from sunshine first.

Look nice but fragile in hail storms
I first bought these several years ago and liked them, but a large hail storm put about 10 holes in each one! I ordered them again and bought a rubberized spray to put on the top surface to protect them.

May not hold up to too much of a snow load or high wind.
Just installed these yesterday. I'm not certain how well they are going to hold up.The Good- Liked that they were easy to assemble and not too heavy, which helped with the installation.- They provide good cover for our windows. The Bad- We have siding, which one would not think would make installation difficult but it did. We installed these on two windows and a door. It was difficult to get the front to be level and to have them all aligned.- As someone else commented the plastic on these are very thin. I'm not sure if these will hold up with heavy snow or high winds.- They left a rather large gap between the house and the awning so I expect when it rains, we will still get wet when going out the door. We attempted to caulk the crack but it a half to three-quarters of an inch wide. I do not expect the caulk to seal well or hold up for long as it is not meant to cover that wide of a gap.

Great light weight awning!
I received two of these today. They are easy and lightweight to handle.****Warning!*****The instructions are just pictures and are lacking for a better term for installation. The steps should be written out like this:1. Assemble parts A (remove protective films on both sides first) to C, and second part A to C, having part C centered.2. Install parts E & D to each end.3. Attach part B (2) to each end of assembly from step 2That's the easy part without instructions.4. Attach screws F(4) into the holes on each side of part B5. Attach screws G(4) into the holes under each side (there are holes on the underside by the front end), and attach underneath on the back end where part B plastic covers part E.6. Find the center of your door, mark it, and then measure 19" off center on each side, and ~7'-8' from the floor on each side. Measure 6" below the previous mark for the bottom hole.7. Drill with 3/8" drill bit ~3" deep. Chaulk all four holes.8. Place the awning over the holes, insert part H through part B holes, and into holes in the wall (may require hammering to insert into holes).9. Tighten bolts by hand first, then use a rachet with a 9/16" socket for the top bolts, you can use a cordless drill with a socket adaptor, and tighten the lower bolts to snug.10. Use a ratchet to ensure all bolts are snug and tight.11. Run a bead of clear caulk along part E where it is against the house.*** Now that is how instructions are made!!***
