If you don’t already own this cast iron griddle, you are seriously missing out. This has quickly become one of my most-used pans in the kitchen—and for good reason. The flat, square surface gives you plenty of space to work with. I’m talking pancakes, grilled cheese, French toast, quesadillas, seared salmon, smash burgers—you name it, this griddle handles it all like a pro! And those raised edges? Perfect for keeping grease or toppings from sliding off. Heat retention? PHENOMENAL! Once it gets hot, it STAYs hot—and cooks evenly, which means beautifully golden crusts and sears every single time. It’s heavy-duty, durable, and honestly feels like something I’ll pass down one day. That’s how solid it is. And because it’s Lodge, it comes pre-seasoned and ready to go (But I suggest washing and oiling and baking it. I’ll give instructions at the end if you’re interested.). The more I use it, the better it gets. I LOVE that old-school cast iron magic. Oh—and it looks great on my stove! It’s rustic, classic, and seriously chef vibes. 10 out of 10, I definitely recommend to anyone who loves to cook with style, soul, and serious performance. PRO TIP:: Give it a little extra oiling and bake it a few times when you first get it though (if interested, I’ll tell you how below) — you’ll fall in love with the results. Use an oil with a high smoke point and that forms a good layer of seasoning, like canola oil, Crisco (vegetable shortening), or grapeseed oil. I’ve used vegetable oil too. Avocado oil, I think can be used too, but don’t quote me on that particular one as I’ve never used it. But if I take a guess, I THINK it can be. But the FIRST thing you do even before oiling it and baking it is wash it thoroughly as soon as you get it with a teeny-tiny bit of soap and hot water, EVEN IF IT SAYS IT IS PRESEASONED! But ONLY DO THIS ONCE! After this first wash, you won’t have to use soap ever again! This is to remove any of the factory residue. But you are then to dry the pan completely. Then with a think layer of oil (I pour a bit on the pan and then take a paper towel and wipe it completely with oil in all of the nooks and crannies inside and out and the handle with an even coat of whatever oil you choose to use. Place it upside down on your top oven rack and put a baking sheet (or if you want to line the bottom rack with foil you can do that instead of the baking sheet) on the bottom rack to catch the excess oil that drips off the pan. Bake this @ 450 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour. Then turn the oven off and let it cool completely inside the oven to allow the oil to set. Now, for a smoother, non-stick finish, it’s BEST to repeat this process 2 or 3 times, BUT you don’t have to. I like to though, but who knows…maybe it’s because I’m extra. Then, BOOM! Your brand new cast iron is ready to make some magic happen!! Enjoy!!

Solid Cast Iron Griddle
Works as it should. Seasoning from the package has held up and griddle has surprised us with how well it works with little sticking for a variety of foods (pancakes, scrambled eggs, grilled cheese, etc.). The only downsides are no surprise: harder to maneuver due to overall weight and does require some different care from other kitchen equipment as all cast iron does. I'm very satisfied with this purchase, and would buy again, though I don't expect to need to as this thing should last my lifetime.

Fantastic griddle that will last forever
I went through two nonstick griddles that eventually overheated and flaked. I’ve got kids and they don’t always follow the rules I give them for pans. This is awesome because they pretty much can’t ruin it! My only complaint is that sometimes the outside corners don’t heat up as much as the rest of the pan due to my stovetop. However, I use it every day for cooking eggs for breakfast and as we keep it seasoned, don’t have issues with sticking unless someone forgets to preheat. We usually clean it just by wiping it down, which is simple enough.

Classic Lodge Quality
You really can’t go wrong with Lodge. This cast iron griddle is solid, reliable, and does exactly what you need it to do. It heats evenly and holds that heat incredibly well, making it perfect for pancakes, grilled sandwiches, or searing meats. Even though it comes “pre-seasoned,” I highly recommend giving it a proper seasoning yourself before the first use. That extra step makes a big difference in preventing food from sticking and helps build up a better nonstick surface over time. Also, if you plan on using this on the stovetop often, I strongly suggest picking up the Lodge silicone handle grip. The handle gets really hot, and the grip makes it way easier (and safer) to move around. Great product, built to last—as long as you treat it right.

Good flat top for grilling meat.
This is a handy, but heavy griddle. I use it for hamburgers, steaks and chops. One may heat it hotter than most pans and it makes a good sear. It does smoke when in use if not fully covered in food. Cleaning is as it is with any other cast iron pan. One learns the warmer and cooler spots on the pan, it has not warped.

Great griddle
This was a gift for my mom- she loves using it and I love using it when I come over! It’s seasoned perfectly so maintaining it is a breeze. Size and weight are as expected for a cast iron.

Have only used it 2 or 3 times, and already seasoned! Love this griddle!!!
Love this griddle - comes well seasoned - took just 2 or 3 uses to get it well seasoned. No sticking issues. At same time, I bought an expensive Field 10" skillet and have had sticking / discoloration issues with it. I'm going to replace the expensive Field skillet with a Lodge skillet!

This is a perfect addition to our kitchen.
I got this skillet to replace a circulon non-stick. I wanted a skillet for making tortillas from scratch. This Lodge skillet was perfect. Tortillas did not stick. Came out perfectly browned. Crepes next.

Best pan to make breakfast on by far. It heats up evenly, easy to cook on and it’s a one pan does all. I’ve done eggs, sausages, pancakes and back bacon on it. I love it better than a frying pan.

Excelente producto.
