Great little device!
This is an ingenious little piece of engineering right here. I purchased two of these, one for use on my camelbak to mount a SOG mini Pentagon on the shoulder strap, and another for whatever else I might see the need for, because im sure ill find a need soon enough. The thumb safety or lock is truly a lock. It keeps the two outer tabs that clip the lower plate to the upper plate and lock the device in the closed position, while easy enough to quickly disengage. Its a little difficult to explain, but you'll see it as soon as you see the a tek lok in person. It is a very useful feature to have, not only as an added level of protection against the tek lok accidentally falling off, but also very useful when trying to wrestle it onto a padded strap that's a little too big.Overall the Tek Lok is a great little mounting device, very usable and very well constructed.A few points to keep in mind:-Distance between mounting holes (on center) is: 3/4 inch.-Maximum strap width and height (see below): 2 3/8 inch x 1/4 inch.-Padded shoulder straps, such as my camelbak or a similar system are a bit of a stretch for the Tek Lok. As I just noted the distance between the upper and lower plates of the tek lok is 1/4 inch. So the padding will have to be compressed if it is over that, and if its padded chances are good that the strap will be thicker than 1/4 inch.-Three sets of studs, screws, and rubber washers are included.-Two removable spacers are also included. These are perfect for mounting the tek lok on a belt or strap that is less than the maximum 2 3/8 wide. There are 8 slots in which they can be placed on the bottom plate of the tek lok to accommodate any width belt or desired offset.

Solid and secure
I bought this to replace a lesser quality clip on a knife sheath. Very functional. Fits just right. Attaches to my belt very securely. It’s value for the money.

Great product
The plastic is strong will hold your belt solid my only gripe is I thought it had 4 screws it came with it only had 3 and I drilled out for 4 my fault for not checking but also a odd number of hardware. I used it for my window cleaning bucket. I can already tell it’s built to last and I’ll have it for a while

Great Product!
Well to begin with I'd like to mention that to my knowledge blade tech makes 3 different size tek loks. A mini, standard, and large. This product, is the standard size and worked great for my application. The design is great, and with the secondary bar to secure the tek lok I don't have any concerns of losing my tool. There are other knock off products out there, but I've heard from other reviewers their products are unreliable. Furthermore, as one individual noted, when you have a tool that cost a substantial amount of money why would you skimp on a product meant to secure it to your pack or person? This Blade Tech Tek Lok is WELL MADE IN THE USA!!!That to me means something! Supporting American industry and business AND getting a SUPERIOR product is a no brainer. To be fair the only critique I will offer is that the hardware that shipped with my tek lok was too small for my application. I used larger sized Chicago screws, and they worked great. The only other thing I wish I had available would have been a washer (preferably in black) to better secure one of the screws to an oval shaped area on my kydex. It's not problem on the area's where there is an eyelet, but I believe many products will incorporate the use of both. So in closing, if Blade Tech would offer some sort of assorted hardware package for differently sized/arranged sheaths and holsters to accommodate installation at a fair price, that would be GREAT! My experience is this, that it's vexing to receive a product and then realize when you begin assembling your rig per personal preference you're gonna want to have EVERYTHING you need. Lol . . . and do yourself a favor hit your hardware with some thread lock (blue in case you decide to change your configuration) because that could be a SUBSTANTIAL amount of money you're stowing. Regardless of the money, this is true Imho the value of your tools in the field are invaluable to their owner; ESPECIALLY when you need them.
