I got the red ultra-low temp freezer that reaches -40F. It is great! Here is info for how to use it! This upgraded freezer has the temperature screen with the Lock and Freeze lights, and the buttons for -, +, and Snowflake Freeze (not the red light button some other reviews mention). Came greatly packed! Let it stand vertically for some hours or a day. Then plug in. To set temperature, press + and - simultaneously for about 3 seconds until lock light is off then you can set temp (press - to go as low as -40 F). After that in about 40 seconds the lock light comes on again (if you need to set temp again do the above again). First time you plug it in and it is empty , the temp shown on the little screen might move up and down as it settles, do not worry , it takes about a few hours for it to settle. You can check it works (cools well) by getting a low temp thermometer (eg Escali AHF2 Shatter Proof Glass Refrigerator Freezer Thermometer with Suction Cups, Safe Temperature Indications, Fridge and Freezer Temperature Zones NSF Certified) and put it inside, it will show this freezer reaches the temp you set, as low as-40 F, as I have checked. Which is great! Two more fyi: the freeze light is on only when you use quick-freeze mode (which you set as follows: unlock (see above the 3sec unlock procedure) then press Snowflake Freeze Button)-in the quickfreeze mode the compressor works all the time but it is extremely quiet. Second Fyi: if you want to ensure the top is very well closed such that no outside moisture goes inside (eg avoid any ice formation inside), put some books on the top of the freezer to make sure it is pressed down well. All in all, this Freezer is great and at a really affordable price point for such a quiet freezer that reaches -40 F!

The red chest freezer has different specifications than the others. Look closely. This is a great freezer that gets very cold and works well. It is large and deep, about as tall as a desk and about half the size. It's about the size of an oven or dishwasher. Shipping is expensive, but it's a big item. This is appropriate for deep freeze of food or chemistry stuff or probably even lab materials.

I've had this freezer for a while now, and it's still running great. It's a nice size, not too bulky or taking up too much space, and holds quite a few things. It's very sturdy and looks nice anywhere you'd put it, and can even be decorated with magnets or other ways if wanted. The seal is great, and I don't notice any leaks in it, and it doesn't seem to even be too much of a drain on power. Easy to use and also defrost, and I am glad I got it.

Been using for over a year now with no problems. Small footprint, quiet and a great backup freezer to store frozen foods, fish and extra ice. Highly recommend this unit.

Rest, assured, I will update this review when I have had it more than the four days (14 days now, still good) we have had it. - undamaged upon delivery. Maybe they responded to reviewers complaints, because it came very thoroughly cosseted in styrofoam. Since I am the big eater in our household, I am always crowding my wife’s stuff into a corner of the refrigerator's freezer compartment. She can’t find the ice cream or chicken fettuccine or whatever, covered as it is by hotdogs, bacon, and tubs of homemade spaghetti sauce. This will solve the problem, I think. We shall see. - I Just let it sit as advised for the first 11 hours with power off to let any fluids settle. - Turned it on and set it to the “medium“ number of four as recommended to start. - very quiet indeed. If you’re hearing isn’t that good, you know the compressor is on because the green light on the front goes on. - Working temperature is supposed to be reached within 24 hours. The walls were freezing within three hours. this was at an external temperature of 64° F. I worry that the insulation might be somewhat insufficient. I am tempted to wrap it an extra insulation, but that could cover the heat exchange coils and defeat their purpose.I have settled by throughing a couple of heavy foam pads atop the lid. It seems to be efficient enough as it is. It has stayed near 3.5 F ° for days now at a setting one number warmer than medium. As I said, I will jump right on it with an update if there are any problems. Reading the reviews– it seems that reliability can be a problem in a somewhat random way. I am hoping that I am one of the satisfied customers. p.s. I didn’t tell my wife that I purchased it. It’s stashed in a corner of the garage (we live in a mild climate) and so far she hasn’t even noticed it. It’s that inconspicuous.

bought for dippin dots!! keeps the dippin dots at -40° and have had no problems. packaging was great and super easy to remove, no dents! we have put ice cream and other things in the freezer. holds a decent amount of stuff! super great purchase

Received untit yesterday at 230 pm Unpacked and set in location it would run and left unplugged 24 hours. Plgged in today at 3pm It cooled quickly to -16 degrees (set to -40) Then EH appeared on screen, stopped running, and warmed. Between then and now (maybe 3 hours) reached 58 degrees (wqarmed by 74 degrees) I bought this to store medicine. DContacted seller, and he stated that minor fluctuations in temperature are normal???? How is 74 degrees a minor fluctuation? I unplugged for half hour and plugged back in and it appears to be cooling again. Dont know if this unit can be truzsted to store my expensive meds. They do not survive cool / warm cycles. Not happy. Update : cooled to negative 30 quickly. Stopped working again. NOw an hour and a half later its 20 degreese. Another raise of 50 degrees and it work cool. Poorly insulated obviously to raise this much in a short time. Been through many hurricanes with power outtages. A real fridge or freezer will hold temperature for days if not opened This thing is horrible junk
