Exactly what I was hoping for!
After my S22 Ultra screen got broken in a 2 1/2 foot fall - with a "military-grade" case on it - I was really aggravated! It fell on the screen edge where protection was weakest - but where the previous product claims had been made that the edge was protected. WARNING: Many phone case manufacturers claim that they provide phone edge protection for the S 22-type phones and they do not! So, I hate to admit, I spent HOURS searching for a military grade case that ACTUALLY PROTECTS THE VULNERABLE EDGE of this type phone. I discovered that a lot of manufacturers claim to provide that protection, but then reviewers get the cases and are disappointed - as I was with my first case. For this type phone, the protection Has to rise up above the screen face all around the phone; not just at the top and bottom. This CaseBorne case, that I just got, actually does rise up above the phone edge and protect it, all around! I am convinced this protection is essential for this type phone. Also, in my opinion, the raised case edge does not compromise the really cool design or function of the phone edge feature. The phone is now a little wider-fitting in the hand than the previous case, but that's a small issue compared to the protection your phone is getting. The other thing that led to my dropping the phone in its previous case was its slipperyness. I had picked it up, while recharging it on a short cord, and it was literally jerked out of my hand like a greased biscuit when I reached the end of the cord. The previous case was too slick. This CaseBorne case is REALLY GRIPPY, with a nice rubbery feeling right where it needs to be. So, between the actual edge protection and the solid grip, I am confident that will not happen again! The case arrived almost at the time the technician arrived to replace the screen, so I installed the case immediately with great satisfaction and confidence my phone is protected. I normally don't review a product right after receiving it, but the case looks and feels so rugged that I went ahead with the review. The additional weight added by the case, to me, is negligible and the materials are solid, durable and of decent quality. Installation involved separating the front piece from the cushioned back, inserting the phone in the front piece, then inserting the assembly into the back. It's a tight fit which is exactly what I wanted, but not difficult to put together. (Another highly rated case product was reported by reviewers to eventually get loose around the phone. With this fit, I doubt that would happen. ) I am including this detail because I had to read many, many reviews to find a product that appeared to actually provide the claimed protection for this type phone: true edge protection, grippiness, and unquestionable durability. I can get used to the slightly wider case, knowing it provides the protection for which I was searching. I have no affiliations with this product, nor did I receive any compensation for this review, beyond the satisfaction of finally finding a decent, truly protective case. If anything develops that would change my opinion of this product, I will return and amend this review. This case is a keeper and it was worth the effort to track this product down and pay the reasonable price. My hope is that this review will provide the most essential information needed to allow you to make a well-informed choice.

Best Case I've Owed So Far!
I've been using the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro for my last 3 phones. It was the best case out there for my S5, S7, and S10+. So when I got my S22 Ultra, I didn't even think about it and just ordered the UB Pro right away. None of my other phones ever had a stylus and now that the S22 Ultra does, Supcase made a cutout for it. This cutout has been my main issue with the UB Pro as the corners and edges are way too sharp and dig into my pinky on my left hand. I usually use my left hand to hold my phone and I'm constantly trying to reposition my pinky to a more comfortable place, but I never can and it just digs into the finger and is quite annoying. Even when holding the phone with both hands and texting with both thumbs, it's still a nuisance. I did some research on cases for the S22 Ultra and after a few days I decided to give the Caseborne a shot. I'm really glad I did! The cutout for the stylus isn't perfect, but it's markedly improved over the one on the UB Pro. Personally, I never use the stylus and I really wish I could find a case in the same style/quality of the UB Pro or Caseborne case that either had no cutout at all or had a flap similar to the USB port flap. I can't be the only one out there that would rather not have a cutout at all or have a flap that doesn't dig into my left pinky, right? Right?! Another thing I love about the Caseborne case is its side grip. Wow! I didn't even think about this when I ordered the case, but noticed it immediately when I put the case on my phone and held it in my hand. The UB Pro has a thinner, one directional, concave side grip. Where as the Caseborne has a slightly thicker, bi-directional, convex grip and it makes a huge difference in the amount of grip it provides. It feels absolutely solid in my hands now. Which is a phone case feature that should not be overlooked when looking for a case to protect your phone. Yes, the case should protect your phone if/when you drop it, but if it can also prevent you from dropping it in the first place..well that's another layer of protection. Similar to most heavy duty cases, the Caseborne has raised edges/lips on the top and bottom portions of the case. I put my phone on my sink counter with a flashlight behind it and took a picture as close to the countertop as possible and you can see that there is plenty of space in between the screen and the countertop. I don't have the equivalent picture of me doing this with my phone in the UB Pro, but I will say that going by feel, the Caseborne's top/bottom lips are slightly more raised than the UB Pro. This doesn't affect anything for me so no complaints there. As far as the kickstand goes: it does what it's supposed to do. I rarely, if ever, used the kickstand on my UB Pro and I'll probably rarely use the one on the Caseborne. It should be noted that in the vertical position, the Caseborne has a more shallow angle compared to the UB Pro. And to me that's actually a good thing. The UB Pro's vertical position always seemed way too steep and I always felt like I had to slouch real low in my chair to be able to get a good look at the screen. Also the UB Pro's stand is a lot more wobbly where as the Caseborne's seems more stable. The horizontal position is at the same angle for both cases and is pretty much the perfect angle. So all is good there. The buttons: The buttons feel absolutely glorious now! I mean wow I didn't know the buttons felt so great on this phone. They actually have a tactile and slightly audible click to them now which I just love. The UB Pro's buttons always just felt mushy. I've had the UB Pro for so long now though that I guess I just didn't realize what I was missing out on. Seriously though, the buttons feel amazing. I have a wireless charger stand on my desk and was really hoping that the wireless fast charging would still work with the Caseborne. It does! The Caseborne does feel like it's thicker from the back of the case to the back of the phone (which is great and the soft felt-like material gives me peace of mind), but I can still use fast wireless charging (not the super slow regular wireless charging) completely so that's another pro to add to the list of awesome features of the Caseborne. I rarely write reviews and I did not expect this one to be so long, but I just wanted to add my voice and share my experience with the world about how stunning this case is. If you want a heavy duty case that feels good in the hand, grips well, has a kickstand, makes the buttons feel amazing, and can still use fast wireless charging, look no further my friend! This is the case for you!

Ultimate protection at the cost of some thinness and weight, feels great and premium materials
This is the first caseborne I've tried, previously Ive used some aliexpress knock off cases as well as poetic guardian cases (which was very good). The caseborne case has much more premium feeling materials as compared to the other cases I've had. Even though all of them have a similar design with a front frame that slides into a silicone type back case. The premium materials and tight fit of the caseborne makes it feel alot more solid in my hands and has no squeaks which the poetic suffered from. The kick stand clicks into place with a satisfying action and feels quite solid, it is able to hold up this big phone in a stable fashion in both orientations, great for a Netflix session. The size of the case is comparable to my other cases however it is thicker than the poetic guardian. This is primarily due to the foam backing which I feel will help protect the back glass from shattering. There's also the kickstand which contributes to the thickness. That being said the solidness of the feel made up for the thickness and it feels way better in my hands. People with smaller hands may find it challenging to hold. The caseborne is also quite a bit heavier than the poetic. Coming in at 89.5 grams VS the poetic at 55.6 grams. While in use though I don't feel the weight much and mostly just feel the thickness. Pros: - top class materials - great fit and finish - feels solid in hands - feels very protective - great solid kick stand - understated look that's classy Cons: - increases thickness of phone - weighs more than less protective cases - blocks the beautiful back glass of the phone Overall, amazing case and I'm very pleased with it. If you're looking for a protective case at the expense of thinness this is the one to get!

I've upped it to 4 stars
This case is as described, and looks like it would do a pretty good job of protecting the S22 Ultra. All the cut-outs are in the right place and although it adds quite a bit of weight to a phone that is already huge that's to be expected for the amount of protection you gain. I tried it on the Samsung wireless charger and it works, although you have to make sure it is in exactly the right position. Why did I only give it a 3? Well the front portion of the case that you snap on to the phone itself seems to be very fragile, and the overall look of the case is cheap and plasticky. The kickstand also feels very flimsy. Getting the case on and off is a pain so if you swap your sim card out a lot this isn't the right case. All in all at a price of about $20 this isn't a bad case, but I would rather spend a bit more and get a case that is more aesthetically pleasing. Update: Now that I've used it for a while I upped my rating from 3 to 4 stars. It actually isn't hard to remove the case after you do it a few times and the front frame has held up well in spite of looking fragile. I like it enough that I'll probably get another one

Underrated case/company
Excellent case. Great combination of maximum protection and relative ease of getting it on and off the phone. Great packaging and instructions and after sales support. I bought the red color case because it was the only color they had left besides black. The red color looks great, fun, a lot better than I expected. It doesn't feel overly thick or difficult to hold with one hand the way an otterbox defender pro might. S pen isnt blocked and there's a nice textured partern on the sides. Highly satisfied.

Great Case
I got another version of this product for my S10+ after I had to get it repaired from one too many careless drops. It worked great and the phone still looks great even after some pretty epic drops, and surprisingly even the case didn't get scuffed up after multiple 4+ foot drops onto concrete. Hopefully I won't be so careless with the new model but it's good to know that the older one was so good. I ordered this for the S22 Ultra and it feels just the same. Easy to install (just be careful using the plastic slip to separate the front from the back, mine came out and I had to pry them apart) and seems very solid. Grips and kickstand feel the same as the previous model though the kickstand is a bit stiff and probably will be until I use it a while. The raised panels around the front made it a bit tough to swipe from the sides/top of the screen on the S10+. It feels easier to swipe from the sides on the S22 Ultra, but swiping from the top is still a bit awkward. Works just fine but it takes a little concentration to make sure I'm doing it right. Expect I'll get used to it and won't be an issue. The S Pen area is a little tricky to get to. I've got big hands and it's my first phone with an S Pen so it's probably just me. I've found an angle that works well when I remember to use it. I got a TPU screen protector that came with back camera lens protector. I put on the screen protector first, then this case, then the back lens protector. They all fit together perfectly. Best of all, they're based in Texas. I never had any issues with my previous case (nor did my mom, who got the same one on my recommendation) but from the comments on that model the company is very responsive with sorting out any issues or sending out replacement parts if you have any issues.

Great case
This case is pretty well made. I've had this for 2 years and still going strong. The kickstand still works perfectly as well. I've bought other phone cases, but the kickstands didn't last more than a year. Otterboxes are good if you want to spend a lot of money, but this case holds up just as good.

Protected phone from 2nd story fall
This phone case is phenomenal. I just had to replace my s22 ultra screen after dropping my phone. I've never had to replace a phone screen before so the $300 price tag for that was shocking. My previous case didn't protect the front of the screen, so when I was looking for a new case, I wanted a case that rose above the front of the screen, without impeding the readability of what is on the curved edges of the screen. This case is it. I love the lavender color. It actually looks very similar to the maroon color of my phone (which I can see around the cameras in the back, where there is also a great, protective, raised edge guarding the cameras). So I really put this phone case to the test about a month after buying it. We were on vacation in Alaska. It was twilight around 11pm because of the midnight sun, and we were on the balcony of our inn when a mama moose and her baby came to munch on a tree at the edge of a shallow lake about a hundred feet from us. My husband had some binoculars, so I set my phone down on the railing of the balcony (which was a large flat wooden railing, so it "should" have been a relatively safe place to set your phone), and took the binoculars. As I was raising the binoculars up to my eyes in my excitement to see the moose, of course I hit the edge of my phone, causing it to fly up into the air, do a bunch of summersaults and crash down to the ground below. We were on the 2nd story and it fell that whole distance. My first thought was, oh no - I hope I didn't scare the moose away!! But nope, the moose didn't care. So at least I got to watch the mama moose and her baby some more. Then I realized my phone just fell down a full story. Oh no. I had just replaced the screen and it had been so expensive!! My husband said well now we'll see if the phone case holds up. He walked down to get my phone, his feet crunching on the pebbles. I told him to go slowly and be careful in case the moose was aggressive. Moose didn't care. Like, at all. I have a feeling she comes to that spot a bunch. So husband picks up my phone and not only was it completely fine, but this phone case protecting my phone wasn't even scratched!!! I don't know how that's possible because it was quite a spill. So he brings my phone back to me and it is completely unscathed. This phone case is the best. We did our own drop test!! Highly, highly recommend.
