Unisex Baseball Cap UPF 50 Unstructured Hat with Foldable Long Large Bill

Now that I've been able to take the cap for a "test drive" I can report on my experience. I should note that my version of the cap is style "A," with side mesh. I wore it during a vigorous five-mile hike. Normally, on this hike, under present weather conditions, my head would be soaking wet if I were wearing a cotton cap. As I hiked, I could feel the air circulating under my cap whenever the wind picked up. It was pleasant and felt much lighter, softer, and drier than any of my cotton caps. At the end of the hike -- after walking briskly up a steep hill in the hot sun -- my scalp was just slightly damp from sweat. What a pleasure! I can also report that the cap fits my relatively larger head quite comfortably -- and it didn't fly away with a few moderate gusts of wind. I also appreciate the longer brim and how I can fold the cap easily enough to place it in a pocket. With all of this praise, you're probably wondering why I'm rating it less than five stars. Basically, the cap has an annoying design flaw. The back of the cap can be adjusted using a long flexible strap. In my case, after adjusting the cap to fit, a significant length of remaining strap (the "tail") simply dangles beyond the closure. The seller says to "hide the tail of the strap back to the cap after adjustment." One problem: the tail doesn't extend back to the cap, and tucking it under the other part of the strap doesn't help unless the strap is really tight. I could simply shorten the excess by cutting it or trying to secure it some other way. It's just an annoyance at this point. Also, the cap is exactly as pictured -- and you might prefer style "E" without a logo. In fact, even with its minor flaws, I'll probably buy another one of these caps in a different color. It's a good price, it's comfortable and effective, and I'd expect it to last for many more hikes.

I have always had a hard time fitting into hats because my head is big and I wear glasses. I needed something with a longer brim. This hat works perfect and I plan to order more in different colors.

It fit my big ass head lol but seriously, it fit perfectly, i actually like how the material feels, it doesn't feel cheapish. You know how when you buy hats- you kinda gotta fit your way in it, like... stretching it out.. yea not with this hat. I was surprised. If you choose to buy it.. put it this way, i don't feel like i wasted $10.

I really just wanted a white hat to wear when doing DIY projects around the house. Now I still need that because I like this hat so much that I don't want to spoil it. it's a hat, right. Yes but the bill folds and allows the hat to be carried in a pocket. The bill is quite large and offers more protection than the average cap. I like it and now that I have it i really don't want to use it when doing work around the house. WAIT! for under $11.00 I can get another one, so one for DIY and one for other activities, PROBLEM SOLVED. LOL

Nice looking hat with an extra long bill that shields your face from the sun just perfectly. I purchased 3 hats, in white, grey, and light grey. The white hat came with the upgraded metal clip which is much better than the plastic clip . I have a big head and when you adjust the band with the plastic clip, the end of the adjustable band which passes through the clip flips out in the back of the hat. It needs to have some type of Velcro to keep it flat along the contour of the band. The hat with the metal clip did not have this problem.I would give the white hat with the metal clip a 5 star rating, and the hats with a plastic clip a 4 star rating. Question: Why aren't all hats now made with the metal clip?

This hat is a surprisingly good value. It is well made. The hat adjustment is one of the best as it can be adjusted and will hold the adjusted setting. The adjustment strap is also stretchable. I have trouble with the life of my hats as the bill is crushed out of shape over time. This does not seem likely with this hat. The long bill works well in the sun. The ventilation mesh works well to keep the hat cool and dry.

Pros:-Compact. I love the fact I can fold it and out it in my back pocket-Water resistant. I dropped it in my yard and it rained. When I found it I dusted some of the dirt off and it was good as new.-Cost. Cheaper than my Nike Running cap.-Look. It has some weird lines where the bill folds but it's far more sleek than these new ones coming out with. I like it simple.-Fit. It's adjustable-Material. I can see this lasting me for a while. Where I can see problems it the plastic adjustment clasp. Itis thin and can easily break if I sit the wrong way while in my pocket.Cons:-Color selection. I wish they came in white.Conclusion:-I use it when I'm timing during summer swim meets. 4 to 5 straight hours at pool side, I needed a cap with a longer bill. I refuse to get a cap that has a mullet looking mesh. This suits my use perfectly. I plan to use this on an upcoming hiking trip.

I specifically wanted a long billed cap as I have one in khaki that works very well for afternoon (low sun) walks. I find it also helps block glare from our high windows when watching TV shows that have a lot of dark scenes. I am hopeful it will also help with taking photos with my camera (it has a LED screen that is impossible to see in bright sun. I will update my review when I see how the cap helps with the camera.

Nice comfortable hat, packs away nice and small. The bill could do with being a bit wider - it’s very narrow.
