Works as it should.
Great inductive sensor. I was skeptical when purchasing about whether it would work at 5V or not since some people say it will and some say it wont. In my case it did work just fine at 5V. The sensing range may be shortened at this voltage, but for my application it was more than enough. There is no screw to adjust sensitivity, but obviously raising and lowering the sensor will achieve the same thing. I mistakingly bought this thinking it would sense fine with an uncovered glass bed on my 3D printer but found that it will only sense the aluminum below. Considering my glass and aluminum are actually very flat, this has not been an issue to my application but beware not to make the same mistake as I did. I think this sensor is priced well and performs exactly as advertised

These things are Great!
I love these things, we use them on our 3D printers to upgrade from Cap sense. I thought hey I bet those might workon my plasma table. They are potted so the lower part is water tight but the top will let water in. Bad news for a water table. The caps are just held in with superglue, you can use a knife edge between the metal case and the lid to pry it off.I used clear RTV around the insde of the cap to seal the cable and lid, to make it water tight. works great.

Works great for steel and metal beds!
This worked great with the very thin stock ender build plate but performed TERRIBLY with a glass bed. If you have a GLASS bed, please do yourself a favor and get a conductive sensor! They work against glass! Otherwise this sensor was great for what it was designed for!

Fantastic Upgrade
The last one I bought was 5 years ago to upgrade my CR-10S Pro V1. Of course, over time and usage. I finally had an internal short (cable) and it was time to replace it.For the price, accuracy and reliability. These just can’t be beat. Three wires and minimal downtime. She’s printing like new all over again.

Great alternative to the stock unit on Cr-10 S Pro gen one
I recently picked up an old CR-10 S pro. The owner was having trouble with keeping the bed level. After a little research, I found that the conductive sensors on the old units are prone to inaccuracy. At the recommendation of one article, I gave this a try, based on the cost and the simplicity of installation. After splicing the wires, and mounting the device, the calibration was simple and at this time I have had no issues with it maintaining level. At this moment I am very happy to have found an inexpensive solution to what the previous owner thought would be a major upgrade.

NPN not PNP; consider PNP version!
Only giving this 3 out of 5 starts because its NPN not PNP, got the PNP version IF you do not want to have to give your sensor 12v with a voltage reduction circuit. I didn't realize this was the NPN version until after I received it and watched a video on the differences. the PNP version may be slightly more sensitive with just straight 5v signal.that being said, with an Anet A8 aluminum bed and stock v1.5 board, i'm still getting between 4-5mm of detection distance from the bed just giving it 5v from the mainboard. I do plan at a later date feeding it a full 12v with voltage circuit (since its literally just 2 resistors), which should hopefully increase the sense distance even further.

Great upgrade to cr10s pro.
Was a really easy direct replacement for the probe that initially comes on the cr10s pro. Just cut the wires and solder the same color together. Works way better than the fickle probe that comes with the printer.Of note, I ended up breaking the first probe I got by trying to test it before installation. The black wire is the signal wire and not the negative. If you hook it up to a 9v battery wrong it will fry and no longer work. I wanted to test it before installation since I had replaced my bed with a magnetic flexible bed but that was a bad idea. I ordered a replacement probe and installed it and working great.

Wrong and used item
in listing it's 3 wires: blue, black and brown.the one that arrived has only brown and blue.Wires and device look used and weard off.Package shows signs of multiple openings, labels added and removed.

Bon produit!
