This is our second unit of the same brand and model (the first unit lasted about 4 years but the monitor eventually froze out, may have dropped it too many times). We actually used the existing sensor assembly with the new monitor, and ended up buying a second monitor only so we had 2 complete weather stations. Easy to read, bright. The one change is no battery backup so you lose your data if the unit is unplugged. We really like this unit, we purchased the battery extension (so you don't have to climb up to the sensor to change batteries) and the lightening detector as well.

Great product! I had an older one of the same brand that lasted for about ten years. I looked around and noticed that there were at least three different indoor displays that all seemed to come with the same outside base unit. I got the one with what I wanted - a color display that is easy to see and gives the breakdown of rainfall by week, month, and year on the primary screen. Easy to connect and get up and running.
