Sustainability for success!!
A great book sharing SRI TTJ’s life and experiences. I couldn’t put the book down and finished reading in a go. I am glad that I could get a sneak peek through TTJ’s life which was so full of challenges and I am amazed at his thought process. I am amazed by the way how he handled the situation in Bangalore factory when the workers chose not to accept him. It isn’t easy to be calm and carry on the determination that TTJ had. I am in love with his people management skills. Massive respect to THE MAN - TTJ!!!Book not to Miss !!

An excellent case study for policy makers
A story that needed to be told. At its very core is how, thanks to ttk brought the pressure cooker, a French inventio, to India and made it it's own. Another perspective is how an Indian family which has had many firsts and could have been a conglomerate dominant in every aspect of our lives but was constantly a victim of poor government policy. At the heart of it all, a man and his family that stayed true to traditional values while constantly innovating, despite many of those efforts failing. An inspiration to every entrepreneur but also a good reference book for all those in government and administration.I live in hope that books like these are in the library at LBSNAA and the trainees there get to understand the public policy implications of their actions. It would make a very interesting case study.

Great Book, but Cover in bad shape
They say, "don't judge a book by its cover". But when the cover is in bad shape, one has to judge the seller, if not the book! After reading the reviews of this book, about how TTK Prestige grew into an empire, I was keen to add it to my library. The seller "Nanda Overseas" had described its condition as "New". But the copy of the book "Disrupt and Conquer: How TTK Prestige Became a Billion-Dollar Company" which was delivered to me, was not up to the mark.I might add that the inside pages of the book were mostly in fair condition. But the problem was with the book cover. The screenshots of the cover of the book (front and back) are attached herewith. I have marked the problem areas with a red box. There was a lot of wear along the edges of the front cover of the book. The cover came across as soiled too. The top edge of the cover was curled. Even the back of the cover had lot of marks. After all, the first thing I am going to notice when I pick up the book to read it, is its cover. As such, I had no choice but to return the book, and thankfully I was immediately issued a refund by Amazon. Now I have made it a standard practice to write to the sellers of books I am interested in, and ask them to send pictures of the copy they have, before I place the order. This can help save our time and energy, and also some embarrassment for the seller.
