Fun and Educational Summer Activity!
Summer Brain Quest: Between Grades 3 & 4 is a fantastic way to keep kids engaged and learning over the summer break. My child loves the fun challenges and activities, and I love that it helps reinforce key skills in math, reading, and problem-solving.Pros:Engaging and Fun: The workbook includes a variety of activities that feel like a game rather than traditional schoolwork. My child looks forward to completing each section.Skill Reinforcement: It covers important concepts that bridge the gap between grades 3 and 4, helping to keep skills sharp while preparing for the upcoming year.Interactive: The activities are well-structured, and there’s a reward system that motivates my child to continue progressing.Great Design: The colorful and visually appealing pages keep my child interested and excited to work through the book.Cons:A Bit Challenging: Some sections might be a bit tough for younger third graders, but that can be a good thing for keeping them challenged and engaged.Overall, this is a wonderful educational tool that keeps learning fun during the summer. It’s both enjoyable and helpful for maintaining academic progress. Highly recommend for parents looking for a fun and engaging way to bridge the gap between grades!

Great review workbook
We have purchased the other grade level workbooks in the past by BrainqQuest and those were great content but kind of felt like a chore and the organization made it so that we couldn't just do the pages in order. We stopped purchasing them after grade 2 because my kids just weren't using them. These Summer workbooks are great because the pages are organized into levels with a good mix of different review subjects and you can just have the kids work on the pages in order. The workbook also comes with a page to put stickers on for every page completed. Very motivating for younger children especially. Our school district went on strike for a few days recently and one of my kids class wasn't even assigned any work because her class doesn't have a real teacher and only has a long-term substitute (our district is a gigantic mess, but we are okay).I pulled these workbooks out and both of my kids loved them. They were excited to see all the content that they've worked on already this school year, and even my other child who had worked on assigned school homework from his class wanted to do this in addition even though I told him he didn't need to.Great purchase, we'll continue to get these for the coming grades.

Gamified learning >>>>
I could not believe how excited my son got about this activity book. Last year he switched from Montessori to public school and he struggled to meet the expectations for his grade level, dreaded doing homework, and had a lot of anxiety around his academics. Brain Quest uses a “map” and stickers to track the child’s progress through the workbook. This element of playing a “game” (and of course we offered incentives like small prizes for completing each section) transformed his relationship to doing learning worksheets. He has been asking to do multiple pages a day, building more resilience, and practicing important skills that will help him succeed in 4th grade.

Fun way to keep up skills through the summer!
This in between grade levels, summer Brain Quest seems more simple and easier than their typical workbooks. I got this to help my daughter keep up her skills over summertime. She seems really motivated to complete a few pages each day due to the enclosed map that has stickers to mark your progress along the way. Pages include a variety of subjects and also include “outside quests,” fun challenges for kids to do outdoors to earn additional stickers for their map (FYI- these may take pre-planning to complete because some require a trip or specific materials). Overall I’m happy with this purchase and the cost to usefulness ratio.

Great summer learning
Bought some of these workbooks last year (2020) for my kids since they had missed so much school because of COVID. They loved them! Like I had to make a rule they could only do 2 pages a day or they would have completed them in 3 days and I wanted them to last the whole summer. They were highly motivated by the sticker charts. Each page is fun and colorful and not overwhelming. They have clear directions and if there is a word or phrase that my kids did not understand, usually there would be a tip box that explained things in more detail. I was so happy to have these to keep them learning over the summer. And, bonus, I did not have to do much of anything! No planning or prep and most of the time they can read the directions themselves and figure it out without help from me. We loved them so much that they asked if they could get them again this summer.

Motivating!
I first purchased the 2-3 grade summer book last year for my grandson. He worked on about 3 pages a day, 3 times a week. He loved it! As it really was a review, he found it a little challenging, but not difficult. So it was fun. What he really loved though was being able to place stickers on the included chart as he finished each day's work. I really think it kept what he had learned the previous school year fresh all summer and made returning to school work easier come September. So of course, I purchased grades 3-4 for this summer. He was so excited to start this again! I really recommend these activity books, they are excellent and great motivators.
