Q: If you buy a hub to connect multiple sets can there be 2 masters?

I believe each set maxes out at 1 master, 3 remotes

Q: Which one is the Master? Looking at 4pc system with 3 single ear and one double ear.

The “master” will be designated as such in the description. It can be either a double ear or single ear. I got two single ear units - one master and one remote - for my wife and myself to use on our boat while anchoring or docking. We joke that it “saved our marriage” because she doesn’t feel like I’m yelling at her anymore. I like the single ear units because we both have one ear uncovered for “situational awareness.” You need one master in your setup. The others can be remotes. Be aware that the master turns on and off a little differently than the remotes, check the manual. We keep the master inside the boat at the helm and use the remote on deck, so that if one accidentally drops in the water it will be the less expensive one.

Q: Before I order, which one is the master? I don't want to always use the double-ear, so hoping one of the single-ears is the master.

The double ear is not the master. It’s one of the single ear headphones that is the master.
