Ravensburger Mickey as Artist Jigsaw Puzzle (5000 Piece)

This puzzle is a great introduction for those casual puzzlers finally taking the plunge into the world of super puzzles. A 5000 piece puzzle is a daunting task no matter what, but this one eases the anxiety and fear of such a gargantuan task by having easily identifiable pieces, sections, and a clear path in how to proceed. The sheer size of the puzzle requires a lot of space in order to be able to sort out the pieces. We taped together two folding tables and had multiple sorting trays and boards in order to get it done. The pieces were of general good quality but we would have a liked a little tighter fit as we are accustomed to seeing with other Ravensberger puzzles. The puzzle pattern does repeat itself (as is common for puzzles of this size) but the characters and colors are so far apart and different that this never became a problem Most of the puzzle is pretty straight forward with the multiple frames and Dalmatians being the most difficult parts to assemble. We put it together as a family over a period of a month with someone putting in at least a few good hours every day. Overall I would say it was a great puzzle experience and if you’re the type to enjoy puzzles and have the necessary space required to work this large puzzle out, go ahead and go for it because you won’t be disappointed!!

There's a lot of negative reviews showing damaged pieces. My set had quite a few also but it's not to be unexpected. The common thing that happens is peeling. This is an easy fix. I used some mod podge and a toothpick. Spread a little in between the layers and squeeze it together and it'll make the piece like new. This may also work with Elmer's glue but haven't tried. Don't hesitate and go for it. This was a great puzzle.

Got this for my mom for Xmas and she finally finished it! Wonderful except it is missing one piece ☹️

After 5 and a half months of working on this puzzle with my daughter and husband in non consecutive days we are pleased to have finished it! We made it fun by playing with one another as we worked on the puzzle which made it easier to put it together. The colors are vibrant! The puzzle is beautiful! The pieces fit snug together. Just like a puzzle should be! Ravensburger puzzles are some of the best on the market! I have put many puzzles together over the years and I am yet to find a Ravensburger puzzle that has not met my expectations. Next step will be to frame it and hang it on our wall. We are very happy with this puzzle and even happier that there were no pieces missing. We had to use another piece of furniture to have 3 puzzle rows completed as the puzzle is too big for our dining table. My daughter is really excited about this piece!

Great challenge, not easy bust not that difficult, very good quality of pieces (as expected with Ravensburger brand), easy to handle and very colorful!

There was a piece with a corner torn completely off, and several pieces that were bent. Bought this puzzle with plans to glue it and display it, but these damaged pieces are going to ruin the design. I love Ravensburger puzzles and have never received any with a torn piece or so many bent/ damaged pieces. So disappointing and it’s past the return window…

The picture is well-designed for the scale. The rich details, textures and varied color palette ensured that it never really turned into a slog. (ok, the dalmatians came close...). There are no large regions of flat color... almost every piece has discernable texture, color, gradient or details that help set it apart. The one and only serious flaw with this puzzle is the size of the box. At 5000 pieces, the box is only a hair bigger than a 2000-piece puzzle box, and the pieces were packed in *very* tight. As a result, we had about a two dozen pieces with mashed corners or nubs, and one piece torn in a thin spot. I'm also pretty certain that I won't be able to get it back into the box when we're ready to take it apart unless I box it back up in flat sections. It was overflowing when I first dumped the bag loosely into the box. That one issue is very uncharacteristic of the otherwise excellent quality of their puzzles (and this one is no exception): good card stock, consistently clean-cut pieces, unique piece shapes, great image quality, etc.

I bought this puzzle last year and i loved it, however i was a little disappointed that i was missing a piece to the puzzle which makes it a 4999 piece puzzle… I live in Canada and i can’t not contact the Ravensburger to see if they send me the missing piece, which i have read in previous reviews that they will send them to you..

Ibought the Ravensburger “Artistic Mickey” 5000-piece puzzle as a Christmas gift for my wife, and it was perfect. The quality is exactly what you’d expect from Ravensburger — sturdy pieces, great fit, and beautiful colors. It took us ages to complete, which made it even more fun and rewarding. A great challenge and an amazing gift for anyone who loves puzzles!

Very good quality puzzle, the picture is clear and very colourful. 5 of us aimed to defeat it in a week but we were defeated so hasn’t actually finished building. Definitely a good time waster for a holiday time and can’t wait to have another attempt at it. Would highly recommend.
