Wanted to get review in before deadline. I hate when I wait beyond deadline for reviewing a particular good product purchase. Will elaborate more w update & pics, but I most definitely plan on purchasing more. Great product. Better than advertised, easy to use, very fair price, compared to similar, even inferior products. Just be sure to rinse well w cold water after loading your preferred filtering method. Stuff works and makes a definitive difference in water quality & clarity. Highly recommend to all.

With resin 3D printing becoming more commonplace in recent years, there's on-going speculation in the community about just how dangerous the VOC concentrations can get in our homes, especially in small spaces with poor ventilation. Some people suggest full-blown PPE and building elaborate contraptions with mini jet turbines that suck all the stink and VOCs out of your room and out the window (and, by the way, probably into your downstairs neighbor's window). Some people DGAF and do everything in their panties (guilty). I suggest a happy medium; Place an air purifier with an activated charcoal filter near the printer. This is what I've been doing for the past few years without issues. This time I went with this bag of activated bamboo charcoal, and it works better than the impregnated filters I was using. I have an air purifier that has a big cavity in the center, so basically all I had to do is throw this bag of charcoal in there and all air is forced to pass through the charcoal before whooshing back into the room. Now the air clears up immediately when I turn the purifier on. The only downside is that once I leave the room with all the clean air, I get punched in the nose by all the horrible odors in the other rooms haha.

i use these in a homemade air filter for my printer. works good sucking up voc's and formaldehyde. this stuff does not leak acidic vapors to rust metal.

It was a bit dusty and definitely needed a rinse and the nylon bag was zippered and not drawstring like claimed in the listing. Otherwise seems to work as described. I put a nail in with some of the carbon and after 4 days it wasn't rusty so I think it's not acid washed as claimed. Using with 3D printer filter system (Bento Box)

I bought these to help with my Neocaridina shrimp. Something was leeching into my tank and killing my shrimp. I put the carbon in a mesh bag and left it in the back of the tank and it really cleared out whatever was killing my shrimp.

This is the best price to weight for bamboo charcoal I've found so far. I honestly wish I could buy it in bigger packs. It deodorizes the smell from our Lomi well for a few months at a time. It doesn't last as long as I feel like the original pack did, but it's at least a cheap substitute. I tried a coconut charcoal which didn't work at all. I think the bamboo is much more porous and works better for doing air filtration.

I bought this as an alternative to the weirdly expensive Loni charcoal. I thought I could just ignore replacing charcoal because the Loni is in the garage. After several months, I was loathe to use it because this lingering miasma would fill the garage and deep into the basement for the whole day. I was also loathe to pay $40 for charcoal so I figured I would try this. See Fig. 1: essentially identical. I can get 2 refills from this 1 lb bag. It’s running right now and it is odorless yay.

It’ll took so long to arrive but I finally got it. The mesh bag is missing, weight is only 130 grams. No packaging just an ordinary plastic bag.
