Thermometer with Cooler Wall Bulkhead

Great!

It works but I highly recommend disassembling it and wrapping all threads in Teflon (ptfe) tape, even on the inside where the nut is. It was very leaky for me otherwise. Also, there were no install instructions. Having a hole size (7/8”) and maybe a recommended install area would’ve been helpful (I installed mine directly above the spout by about 3.5”).Another complaint is that it sticks out rather far from the cooler wall on the outside and the inside. This will make it easier to calibrate and adjust but it’s way farther than it needs to be and I’m worried that I’ll break it when moving it around.With it being an assembled part of couplings and threaded pipe, it opens it up to more areas of leakage. It would be nice if it was one solid part with only the nut to thread on on the inside.That aside, it does work and I was able to stop it from leaking with Teflon tape. I haven’t used it in an actual brew yet nor have I tested it for accuracy or calibration but I don’t see why it won’t work provided calibration works.
